"Sally, are you alright?" Officer Michael said getting up slowly as I tilted my head back.
"Of course I'm okay." I smiled trying to remember his first name. "Hey, can you cover for us?" I asked taking Victor's tie in my hand pulling him closer to me.
"What? Did you just forget that," he lowered his voice down and started to look around. "The Runaway could be here."
"Oh please. It's not like you're going to find him. We tried so many times that we raged quit," I said trying my best.
"Raged quit?" officer Michael raised an eyebrow making me panic a little. I said something Officer Miller wouldn't have said.
"Thank you," I smiled quickly pulling Victor's tie and dragging him to the entries of the building. Once we were outside I relised he grabbed his coat. Sighing in relief, I let go of Victors tie.
As he put on his coat I pulled Officer Miller's skirt down. This body was so uncomfortable for me. Her body was so turned on that just looking at a fat guy eating a hot dog was turning this body on. Clenching my teeth I turned to Victor hoping he could do me the smallest of favors. "Take me to your place."
"Excuse me," he said as he started to bring his eyebrows together.
"This body. Are you not telling me you can't smell how wet it is?" He looked away not wanting to answer. "Look as much as I want to change bodies' right know I can't. So if you don't mind I like to take a shower and relieve it before I can't concentrate." He stood there like he had a stick up his ass and I'm not really up for it. "You got two second to answer or I'm leaving." He turned his head and glared at me. "What?"
"Where are you really? Why are you showing your abilities to me?" I could see it in his eyes that he had more to ask but he waited for me to answer the two first.
"What is a vampire like you doing here?" I asked whispering my words.
His one eyebrow rose, "How?" he waited a moment. "That woman? She's working for you? Or did you to use her body too."
I smiled, "What a clever vampire you are. But you still didn't answer me." Before I could him speak another word an unpleasant feeling that forced me out of Officer Miller's body and quickly back to my own.
Once I returned to my body I had a hard time breathing. Never once have I traveled across town for that long. For a few moments I feared that I was never going to breathe again until I felt a large fist on my chest. For the next 30 seconds this person helped me take in air.
"What do you think you were doing?" I heard Father Able scream. "You know how dangerous traveling is. You could have died." He said not giving me enough time to gather myself.
"I'm fine," I said as I took deep breaths with in words.
"How far did you go?" he asked.
"Not far," I said using my elbow to lift me up.
He quickly helped me as he wrapped his arm around mine. "How far?"
I knew he was worried. He was like a father to me and can sometimes be a helicopter dad when we are alone. When I was younger he home school me and always looked over me when I started working as a nun. Which was not my idea. But I did it because I owe him so much.
"I'm alright Father Able. I won't do it again. I promise," I smiled. He quickly placed his forehead to mine as I felt his hand on the back of my head. "Father Able?"
"I know one day you're going to brake that promise. And you will have your reason but please don't make me worry." At first I didn't know what he was talking about because I never broke a promise to him. But then I relised that if I do have to it, traveling as far as I did, what would the reason be?
Whatever the reason may be Father Able will still worry about if its traveling or not
