Racing to the door, I slide into the hallway hitting the wall. I realized fast that I was huge because it was hard running through narrow hallways with tables and plants ever were slowing me down. I would watch Crevan make sharp turns making it hard for me not to hit a corner. With my burn hip and a bruise form on the other I was ready to give up. I really wish this jackass was in his wheelchair because it would have been easier to catch his ass. He made another sharp turn and as I followed I hit the corner a little too hard making me fall.

I slowly go up but I could move. My one hip had given out on as I watched him make a right turn. Damn fuckin dick face mother fucker, I thought getting up again. I'll get you. Just you wait, you're weak so I know you're going to rest soon.

"Edea!" I looked behind me to River panting covered in sweat. All the cut marks on her face started to have steam come out of it as it healed. As if it was never there. "You're hurt," she said making her way towards me. "You're not healing," she reached out to touch the wound but stopped when I growled at her. She backed up raising her hands up slowly, "it's okay, I know it may be hard on you but everything will be okay. You know me."

"I know who you are, go back," I growled turning back to the direction were Crevan ran off.

"River," I heard Dawn yell behind me.

"Dawn, get her out of here," my voice was not gently or natural. To me it sounded terrifying, not human. I sound like a monster. And that's what I was. A monster.

"Wait... you need me!" River ran ahead of me with her arms out. "This is your first shift. You're not used to your new body. Let me help you."

"Get out of my way," I said placing my large wolf nose under her arm and moved her to the side.

"I know where he is!" I kept moving. "He smelled like flowers! You'll find him in a garden."

"What makes you think that," I asked turning my head towards her.

"Because he once told me that even ever he felt scared he would go to the flowers and ask for his wife's help," my eyes widen for amount before eased downwards. Hearing that I almost felt sorry for him... almost. "I can take you there," she said gently, "I know where it is."

"No River," Dawn said taking a step forward. "It's too dangerous, I'll go."

River gave her a smile, the smile that looked happy but sad. "It's my turn to protect mommy and daddy. Your job is to get somewhere safe and protect my brothers or sisters," she said pointing at Dawns belly. "I'm not weak. See I'm all healed."

"River, you're just a baby!" she yelled making the girl flinch. "You shouldn't have to do this, or feel responsible to protect me or your father. It's not your job! It's our job to protect you as our child!"

River started to cry, "Mom!" she yelled throwing her arms out, giving Dawn a hug.

"My baby," she cried back holding the child in her arms. Shaking my head from side to side I looked forward on. I took a couple steps ahead, "River!" Dawn yelled as I felt small hands grip onto my fur and climbing in my back.

"I'm sorry mommy, but I have to do this. It doesn't matter what you say. You can't fight and everyone is busy. Go and free Aunt Ray Ray and the others. Stay safe and I'll be back." River said with a smile on her face.

"Edea," Dawn said in a warning tone. I only nodded and then ran off and made a right.

Don't worry Dawn. I won't let anything happen to her.
