Relaxing the muscles on my face I watched his devilish smile grow. Letting a soft chuckle escape my lips I rolled my eyes. "You think I'm Edea?"

He got up off the floor. "I know you are."

"And what makes you think that?" I asked.

"The Runaway. He told me to watch over Mary." He doesn't know I'm the Runaway. "I thought it was strange that he asked me to watch you, but he said you could help." He took a few steps towards me. "When I had gone to the church to your room. I saw Dawns file. It had been open for so long that it was collecting dust. At first I thought maybe you knew Dawn or you really were her sister. And then Melantha showed up. That's when I knew for sure that you were Edea."

"And what if I told you that I wasn't her?" I said taking a step back.

"That would be a lie. I saw the face you made when you saw her." Looking him up and down, I couldn't help but turn away and walk around the bed. "Were are you going?"

"I need space. You're suffocating me." Standing next to River I found him smiling at me with his now red eyes. "Stop doing that. Every time we meet you get those red eyes and they are pis... I mean ticking me off."

Turning that smile upside down, he looked away. "It's been a long time since I have... become this way. I don't realize that I'm doing it."

"Like how you kissed me?" I said lifting my eyebrow at him.

He quickly faced me with a smile so big that it hit ear to ear. "I knew I was doing that."

"Um," River said jumping in, "did we all forget about mom because I know I didn't." We looked at her for amount. Her big greens eyes looked older than they really were. Glancing to my sister and then to her, I couldn't see the resemblances. She must look like her father? But I don't remember her having a boyfriend in her file or even been pregnant. River had to been between nine to eleven years old.

"No one forgot about your mother. Right, Edea?"

Refusing to look at Victor, "What he said. So what do you need me for now I know you're not with Crevan and that chick?"

"Melantha." He corrected.

"Whatever," I said rolling my eyes and folding my hands together.

"We need a pint of your blood." A woman said behind me.

Turning around to face this forty year old, River ran up to her in open arms. The woman took River in her arms, "Aunt Ray Ray! Uncle Vic, brought her! And in three days too, you have to pay up."

The woman looked me up and down before sighing. "I suppose so."

"Gambling again?" a husky voice came around the corner showing it body. He was a tall man, brown hair, blue eyes. With one eyebrow raised River slowly walked up to him with her head down and her hands behind her back. "What did I tell you about gambling?"

"That it's bad," she said sadly.

"I don't think your mother would like to hear that you gambled her life and the life of your siblings." His arms were crossed over his chest showing his dominance.

"Young master," Aunt Ray Ray said, "Please, it was my fault for agreeing. I should have enforced the rules."

He took a deep breath before exhaling it out of his nostrils. The two waited for a response. River bowing her head low and Aunt Ray Ray glaring at this young master. "This is the last time. No. Gambling. Do you understand?"

"Yes, young master." "Yes, Daddy," the two said at the same time.

Daddy? So this is the man that knocked up my sister? She did good. A good looking guy, rich, servants, how did she get set up with this sweet deal? Well... not so sweet, I thought. I mean she's in a coma and dating a vampire no less. This young master lifted his eyes to me with daggers in his eyes. "Are you Edea?"
