After about twenty minutes of waiting, waiting for what I don't know, I got up off the bed and poked around the room. It was pretty empty like I thought. No clothes to be seen, no photos, not even a book. Going to the bathroom there wasn't even a toothbrush. Was this really his room? Did he even live here? Using the bathroom I relised fast that there wasn't a shower. Funny, nobody smelled like a skunk. Really, what kind of rich family didn't have a shower?
Once I finished up and washed my hands, I wished I had time to grab my toothbrush and toothpaste when Victor took me home with him. My mouth taste like crap. Oh no! Victor kissed my dirty mouth, I slapped my hand on my mouth as I looked at myself in the mirror. My cheeks turned blood red. Damn it.
Shameless, I groaned out of the bathroom where a woman stood in the room. "Good morning Miss. Moore. The Young Master said you were up." She was a somewhat small woman with brown hair and a slim body. "I brought you some things that I thought you may need." She pointed her hand to the dresser next to me as I glanced towards it to see a basket full of toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbrush, floss, deodorant, and something red under all this. Moving everything off, I pulled it out and narrowed my eyes at it. It was a red cocktail dress.
"Um..."
"Beth," she said with a smile.
"Beth," I smiled sweetly, "is there something else I could wear like a t-shirt and pants."
She bowed her head, "I'm sorry but the Lady of the house heard of your arrival and insisted that we celebrate."
"Oh kay. Um... do you have a shower I may use? There's not one in the bathroom."
"There is a bath waiting for you down the hall." She said.
"You have your bath tubes in another room?" I asked.
"Yes," she said a little unsure.
"Weird. Well I guess I should get to that bath then." I said putting everything in the basket.
"Of course," she smiled, showed me the way out, and leaded me to the... tube room? Is it still called a bathroom if it doesn't have a toilet or a sink? I don't know why duty it really bothered me that the tube was not in the bathroom I mean what's the point of bathing, other than to be clean and smelling nice, if it's all the wall down the hall.
To all honesty I felt like I was in prison walking to the showers, and being the new guy I didn't want to be stabbed. And being in a house full of vampires it would be hard to fight back. I had better chances in a real prison. Sighing to myself, why did Dawn have to get involved with vampires? Of all things, it had to be the bloodsuckers.
"Right through these door's ma'am," Beth said stopping at a door. She opened the door as steam started slipping out of the room. "The bath is ready, so please take your time. I'll return to escort you to the dining room."
"Thank you," I said with a smile. Finally a bath. A nice, refreshing, bath just for me alone.
"But I don't want to take a bath!" a child's voice screamed behind me braking me from my little fantasy. It didn't take a genius to know that it's was River.
"Lady Rachelle," Beth bowed her head as I turned my head to face the two new arrivers. I watched in awe as I found River hanging over Rachelle's shoulder, kicking and screaming to be put down.
"It the bath ready?" Rachelle said coldly making me shiver. She was pissed, she reminded me when Dawn used to drag me to a bath by my ankles. I had to have been seven and she was babysitting me. I had been so difficult that night, she told me she would never babysit again. For anyone at that.
