Slowly opening my eye, I woke in a bed not my own. Lifting myself up with my elbows, I sat up. I must have closed my eyes and pass out. It's not a surprise that I did it. I normally did it in my computer chair back home. Home.

Remembering back to happened when Melantha attack the church I squeezed my hand into a fist. I wanted to cry like I did before with that stranger. Officer Miller's words started to echo in my head about Father Able. That bitch Mel was going to get it. I'm going to kill her and no one will stop me not even her bother Victor.

"You're up?" Not realizing that Victor had just walked in the room, he smiled. In his hands was a tray with a glass of orange juice and a sandwich. "Rachelle thought you may be hungry." He explained.

I looked away, refusing to look at him.

"Not all vampires are bad."

Peeking out the corner of my eye I was that he looked disappointed, almost depressed. "Thank you." I said quickly. Like a dog he smiled, walked over, and sat down as if he wanted me to tell him what a good boy he was. He really didn't look like the man who would be submissive. When we first meet, he was more dominate like.

"Eat," he commanded in a gently tone with a smile.

Taking a half sandwich off the plate. I watched him slowly open his mouth as I did, mimicking the movement of my mouth as I bit into my sandwich. Once both our mouths close at the same time he smiled. Narrowing my eyes towards him. What was he playing at, I asked myself. "How's Dawn?" I asked between bites.

Victor placed the tray on the nightstand making me think that something bad happened. Is she alright? Are her twins okay? "She's fine. It will take time for the blood to run throughout her body. It may take a day or so for her to wake but she and her twins a fine. Because of you their stronger now." Taking another bite of the half sandwich, Victor lifted his hand to touch my cheek. He leaned in making me stop in the middle of chewing. "You're so beautiful." I suck in some air making the food slide down my throat, choking me. What did he say? No way, was I hearing that right?

Dying, I could feel my life slip away as Victor grabbed the glass. I took a few sipped of it. Letting the liquid softening the bread. He rubbed my back in small circles as the food made its way down. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"Don't ever do that again?"

"Do what?" he asked.

"Call me beautiful. Don't ever say that because whatever you are thinking it's not happening. I know how those vampires' stories work." He tilted his head to the left. "Some girl falls in love with some vampire and then her sister gets involved with all this crazy shit and ends up with a vampire as a boyfriend too. But this is not story and this is not happening. So don't try."

Before I could say anymore he placed his mouth on mine, forcing his tongue in my mouth. I pushed him away, letting me do so as he sat back. Making a fist I covered my mouth giving him a look saying what the hell. He gave me a devilish smile. "A lady shouldn't curse," he said.

"Well I'm not a lady," I almost yelled out. "How long have I been out?" I asked changing the subject.

"A few hours."

"Is... was this Dawn's room." The room was plain. Mint green walls, oak wok dresser set, the room didn't really have much. Like it was just a room for show.

"It's my room," he said looking around. "It has changed over the years I admit. But I live in the human world, so this is just a room I use when I come to visit."

"Is your brother's room like this?"

Victor laughed making me blush, "No, god no. His room looked like a teenager's room, nude posters, playboy magazines, it was a mess. But then Dawn came and cleaned it all out, except for the poster. Connor took that down himself."

"Really?"

He nodded his head. "Yes. She changed a lot of people here and did things most people wouldn't do." He glared at me sweetly making me look away. "I always wonder what her sister would be like. If she too was fearless, selfless, brave, and caring. Are you?"

I almost laughed, "I'm nothing like Dawn. I hate pain, I get scared easily and I don't know how she does it," I said shaking my head. "How did she end here anyway? I know she was kidnapped but..."

"She was kidnapped," he nodded his head as in agreement, "by rouges. Rouges are from here that go to the human world to kidnap humans and bring here to sell. My mother bought Dawn and gave her to my brother."

"Why buy my sister?" I asked.

"From what I'm told was because she didn't fear death. And that's what my mother liked about her. Not to mention she was very live like." Victor picked himself up, letting the bed raise from him sinking it, he grabbed the tray. I placed the empty plate and quickly chugged down the juice. Handing over the glass he raised an eyebrow towards me.

"What?"

"Nothing," he said smiling before leaving me in the room.

What was that all about? I swear men are strange, exceptional the vampires.

Closing my eyes, I could feel a headache forming. This was not a love story here, I thought. I'm here for one thing and that's to be here for my sister. And then Crevan. With him around, he'll come for her. Not to mention me too but if Crevan gets a hold of Dawn could he control her?

Just thinking about what the woman said about 'them' waking and being controlled by their father had me worried. If like Dawn, they needed blood from a relative so would Dawn be the ticket for their wake? But why doesn't Crevan use his own blood unless... No. That can't be.

He must need human blood so he doesn't need Dawn anymore. Could he be after the twins? Does he know about the twins? Maybe not, so if that is true that he doesn't know about the twins. Than he would need my blood.

I would explain why his coming for me. But that woman said he would come for both of us. So what does he want from her?

"Because she's family."

Family? Family. He wants to bring his family back. He's must felt regret and is trying to make up for what he did. Is that what his's trying to do? But what about Melantha, she must be using him to get to Dawn. After what Dawn did, which was hooking up with Melantha brother.

No. That can't be right... could it?

Aww Dawn, what have we gotten ourselves into?
