chapter 4: Perfect

It was finally the last class of the day and I couldn't be happier. It was english, one of my favourite subjects. I always get so stuck in to the writing and get lost in it all. I always writing so much more than I need to, so it gets me a better grade most of the time. Unfortunately, I remembered that the person I hated most in this world was in this class. Which killed my happy mood a little. But then I remembered Calum is in this class which put my mood up again. 

Calum and I took our seats beside each other, as I slumped in my seat. I took out my books, glaring as he walked in. He smirked at me, taking a seat at the back beside his other friend which I believe is called Chris.

''What's got you in a slumpy mood?'' Calum snapped me from my thoughts.

''Guess who?''

''Michael? Ignore him Blaze, he isn't worth getting slumpy over.'' He was completely serious when he said the word slumpy which made me giggle. 

''What's so funny? I'm serious! Don't let some dude get you down,''

''You said the word slumpy with such a straight face, it's funny!'' And then our teacher walked in with a pile of books in her arms. How does she carry all of those, I can barely carry my bag.

''Okay everyone, today I was a project for you to do and I want it started this lesson. We have ninety minutes in here and I want this started because of such a long lesson! So, for the next two weeks, I am going to be putting you in to groups of two and you will be performing a drama for me. I will give you a piece of paper with a dramatic scenario and you will be expected to practise it, and then perform it to me so I can give you a grade. However, I know you're probably thinking that this isn't important, but it is extremely important. This grade will be 50% of your final exam grade at the end of the year.'' She explained and my heart start racing. If I get paired with Michael I will scream this school down. 

''Then why are we doing this so early in the year, it's still only September!'' Michael called out, making me roll my eyes even if he couldn't see me. As long as I can't see his face, I'm happy.

''Because-''

''Miss, you can't start a sentence with the word because, it's against the rules in English.'' He spoke with pure sarcasm in his tone of voice. 

''Anyway, Michael, I'll be pairing you with our top student in this class for the project. Just for that comment. So I apologise to Blaze but unfortunately you will have to put up with Michael for this project.'' I snapped from my thoughts when I heard my name and then realised that I had to work with Michael. Michael fucking Clifford. Really? God what did I ever do to deserve this? I've been a good child, I went to church when I was younger and I'm sorry I don't go any more it just bores me to death!

''No, miss, you don't understand, I can't and won't work with Michael! We despise each other!'' I spoke up, and she looked at me with sorry eyes.

''I'm sorry Blaze but you'll just have to.'' 

''Miss, I have to actually agree with the chick here, we hate each other. I can't work with her, this won't end well. We will end up killing each other.''

'' I will speak to you both at the end of class.'' I sighed, and so did Michael. 

Calum, god bless his soul, tried cheering me up but nothing could work until this horrible project was over. There's no way that I can do all the work for this considering it's a drama. I can work on my part and leave Michael to his. It's not like he'll even work if we do somehow be with each other for more than five minutes without killing each other and throwing insults.

Calum was paired with a lovely girl, Laurie. I was completely jealous of him. Laurie was always the girl that would start her work as soon as she got it, but she would stand up for herself and also those around her, even if she didn't know them. Unless of course she didn't like them, then she would watch them fall down. She had lilac hair, which I adored. She had emerald green eyes and she was just someone you wanted to be friends with.
