Chapter 36: The Greatest

Everyone has now arrived and we all had the same emotions and sad faces. Nia and I knew we had to set off soon to get there.

"Guys.. We have to go now." I blurted out and I felt my heart sink once the words slipped off my tongue. Michael took one look at me and that's all it took for me to begin crying. He rushed over, embracing me in his arms, his head resting on top of mine. Soon we all hugged each other in our last group hug. This isn't the end forever. We all know we need to focus on our future. I need to focus on my music.

"You know, over these past two years.. I've realised this is all I need right here. You guys made me realise happiness doesn't mean being happy all day everyday. Happiness is spending time with those you love the most, and being able to do nothing yet still being the happiest you've ever been. I fucking love you guys and I'm gonna miss you all so fucking much." I spoke up first.

"Blaze, you've proven to me that you can have some serious shit going on and still put on a brave face. Then you can break down and let all your emotions out and come out even stronger from it." Luke spoke, as tears filled my eyes yet again.

This is it. This is the beginning. This is the beginning of the rest of our lives.

"Now.. Calum and Lucas.. If you get girlfriends as college you have to promise to us that you will FaceTime or Skype Nia and I and let us speak to her to see how cool she is okay? But.. Tell me first okay? Okay." That made them laugh and then my dad came in.

"I hate to bring bad news.. But girls if you want to get there early you have to go now. I love you Blaze, ring me when you get there and be safe." I smiled before hugging my dad saying goodbye.

Michael and I said our goodbyes, along with the rest of the boys. Nia and I were driving in our own cars because we needed our own car at college.

"I love you Mike, be safe and call me when you get there! Love you!" I called out, getting into my car as I took one last final look in my mirror looking back at my home.

For around nearly a year, those people I call my family have been there trough thick and thin for me. Including Nia. I'm so happy Ashton found her, they're both so alike. For a start, they both have amazing giggles. I soon drove away with my window down as I heard Michael shout to me.

"I love you Blaze! Good luck babe!" I smiled to myself, knowing I needed Michael. He needed me. I was going to make him so proud of me by getting my music degree. I drove away, putting my Tonight Alive 'The Other Side' album into my CD player and began singing along.

Around two hours later, Nia and I arrived at our home for the next four months until Christmas break. We went to the main reception area to find out where our dorm was and get our schedule which starts next week. We were here for orientation which lasts for the next three days to get to know our way round the campus. Nia and I unloaded our suitcases from our cars and carried them inside, deciding to get extras later.

"I can't believe we're actually here!" Nia squealed in excitement. I decided to ring Michael.

"Hey babe, have you arrived yet?"

"Yeah we just got here, have you arrived yet?"

"Yeah, it seems so cool here! Ash and I share a dorm. We're both also in the same music class, so that's cool. Have you got your schedules yet?"

"No, we're going to get them now. I'll ring you back once were in our room okay?"

"Okay, I love you."

"I love you too."

We found our way to our dorm and were exhausted. It was now around 5pm and we had been here for around six hours now.

"What should we do now?" Nia sighed, as she lay on her bed with music blasting.

"Go get pizza and bring back here then watch Netflix?"

"Sorry to tell you sweetie but I have a boyfriend so you won't be getting an Netflix and chill." we both burst into laughter. We got up and went out to get pizza. Once we did that, we settled into our pyjamas and put Brides Maids on. Around halfway through the movie there was a knock on our door. We paused the tv and looked at each other. I grabbed a slice of pizza and got up to open the door. Once I opened up, I was face to face with two grinning boys.

"Hi, I'm Michael and this is my friend Ashton. We may have lied to you guys about what college we got into because we wanted to surprise you guys. Nice to meet you." I looked at him with wide eyes, looking back at Nia who didn't waste any time screaming and jumping at Ashton.

"You're kidding right?" I stood with my hands on my hips, taking a bite of my pizza.

"Now, why would I kid?"

"Because you're Michael Clifford, my boyfriend of several months. And I know it takes all your will power which you don't have to keep a secret."

"Can't you just not question anything and be happy I'm here and I'm here to stay?" I swallowed my last bite of pizza as I jumped into his arms with the biggest grin on my face. This is the best day of my entire life. It would be even better with Luke and Calum here with us, but I'll take whatever I can get and what I can get is the boy I love with all my heart. And that is the greatest.

And at the end of the day, all of this happened because we were just a bunch of Rejects.

Oh my gosh I can't believe I have spent the past five months writing and putting my time into this book. I am for once so proud of my work, I have tried my best to make it the best I could for you guys and if you have read from the beginning to now, or are reading this weeks months or years from this I am grateful for you all.
