Dakota's POV:

When the light faded away I saw a shadow. It was Gandalf and he had his sword out and ready to fight. We all slowly sat up and looked at the wizard. "Take up your arms. Fight!" Gandalf said firmly. "FIGHT!" He shouted once more. We all jumped up quickly picked up our weapons. We fought any goblin that attacked us. The goblin king charged towards Thorin who was turned with his back to the big goblin. "Thorin!" One of the dwarves shouted to warn him. He turned around and blocked the attack from that big gross creature and the goblin lost his balance. He fell backwards and fell down in to the oblivion of the caves and took some of his minions with him in the process. "Follow me. Quick!" Gandalf commanded and we followed him. We ran as fast as we could on the small pathways and killed any goblin that we encountered. There was so much happening I could barely follow it. I looked back and saw a horde of goblins chasing us. The only thing that kept me moving, was the adrenaline that was flowing through my veins.

Dwalin had dethatched a pole and we used it to push the goblins off the pathways and into the deep. We dropped it again and resumed running. We had reached the end of a pathway and Gandalf cut the ropes and the path swinged to the other side where the path continued. A couple of the dwarves jumped to the other side and then the path swinged back giving a opportunity for the goblins to jump on the path and attack us. I killed to of them and then jumped off to the other side into Thorin's arms who caught me. We ran some more while being chased. I was losing hope that I would feel a breeze of wind on my face ever again. How were we going to get out of here?

We crossed another bridge and the running line immediately stopped and I bumped into some dwarves. Somehow the goblin king found his way to us and was blocking the way. "You thought you could escape me?" The goblin king asked and brought his staff down in front of Gandalf but the wizard blocked the attack. "What are you going to do now, wizard?" he asked slightly grinning. Gandalf pricked his staff in the goblin's eye. He shouted in pain and placed his hand over his eye. Gandalf swung his sword and cut the overweight stomach of the goblin. He fell to his knees. "That will do it." The goblin king said but Gandalf swung his sword once more and slit his throat. The goblin king fell forwards flat on his face. The bridge we were on couldn't hold the weight of his body and broke down and we fell. Now I was certain we were going to die but fortunately I was wrong again. We slowed down because of the cliff that only got smaller and smaller. We hit the ground and I heard the entire company groaning including myself. I got out of the rebel and dusted off my clothes. I stood next to Gandalf who also got out and gave him a quick smile. "Well, that could've been worse!" Bofur exclaimed. The second after he said that the goblin kings lifeless body fell on top of them and they groaned again. "You've got to be joking!" Dwalin shouted. I laughed to myself and helped some of the dwarves get up. I was helping Kili to get up when he looked up in fear. "What's wrong?" I asked him worried. He pointed up and I followed his finger. "Gandalf!" Kili shouted. Thousands of goblins were climbing down the walls to kill us.

"They're too many! We can't fight them!" Dwalin remarked, clearly worried. "Only one thing can save us! Daylight! Come on!" Gandalf yelled and we followed him hopefully to the exit of this place.

I saw a spot of light in the distant and hope began to come back. I ran as fast as I could. The light came closer and closer and turned out to be the exit.

As soon as I took one step into the open I felt the wind blow in my face and it felt so amazing. The light was very bright compared to the goblin caverns. We continued to run for a long time and the sun was setting. The sky was all kinds of red, orange, pink and yellow but I had no time to appreciate it.

We slowed down and Gandalf counted our heads. "And Bombur, that makes 14." The wizard looked around him with a confused look on his features. "Where is Bilbo? Where is our hobbit?" Everyone looked at their surroundings but just as Gandalf said the hobbit was nowhere to be found. "Where is our hobbit?!" Gandalf exclaimed with worry and anger in his voice. "Curse the Halfling! Now he's lost?!" Dwalin complained. I glared at him with a cold stare but he didn't notice. "I thought he was with Dori." Gloin said. Dori looked at him offended. "Don't blame me!" he said angrily.
