Dakota's POV:

I woke up and felt gravity pull my head. That could only mean one thing: I was upside down. I was covered in white sticky threads and couldn't move. I could only just see through. I was probably covered in spider webs. I saw big shadows moving and they had the shapes of spiders but much, much bigger. The sound they made, made shivers go down my spine. It just sounded very disgusting and weird. I didn't know what to do so I just wiggled around hoping that I would somehow escape.

A more human like figure approached me but is was very small. "Bilbo? Is that you?" I asked a little afraid. "It's alright, Dakota. I'm here to save you all." He said. I calmed down and I fell down being slowed down by the cobwebs again. I reached the ground and someone helped me get the web off of me. When the web was removed from my face I saw Thorin appear. I threw my arms around him and he held me. "Are you alright?" he asked. "Yes I'm fine." I said pulling away. "Where's Bilbo?" I asked looking around. "I don't know. Maybe he's still up in the tree." Thorin replied. I shook my head. "No he isn't. He's the one that saved us from being eaten by spiders. I talked to him only minutes ago." Thorin didn't know what to say so he just pulled me to my feet. I looked up and saw the spiders coming back. We ran away from them not really knowing where to go.

We were surrounded so I drew my sword just like the others. One spider crawled towards me on his long thin legs and I stabbed my sword into its head. It screeched in pain and then fell limb. Bombur was struggling with a spider. The spider was on top of him and trying to eat his face. I ran over to one of the spiders' legs and grabbed it. Some of the dwarves grabbed the other legs and we pulled them off the spiders' body. The heavy body fell on Bombur. I pushed it off of him and pulled Bombur to his feet with some help from Nori and Bifur. We killed some more spiders and then ran again.

"Come on, keep up!" Dwalin shouted at a couple of dwarves who were slacking behind. "We're clear!" Thorin stated, but then turned around to see a spider walking towards us. I looked up to see a tall blond elf grab the silky white thread from the spider and slide down. He killed two spiders while sliding and then aimed an arrow towards us. Thorin held his sword protectively in front of him. "Do not think I won't kill you dwarf, it would be my pleasure." The blond elf said with a small smirk. We were surrounded by tons of elves aiming their bows and arrows at us. "Search them!" The elf commanded and sure enough an ellon walked over to me and took all my weapons. He looked at me rather confused when he saw my elven daggers but I just shot him a glare. He quickly resumed his task. The elf had taken all my weapons and walked over to the blond one and said something in elvish about me having elven daggers and not looking like a normal dwarf lady.

"Gyrth in yngyl bain?" {Are all the spider dead?} The blond elf asked an elleth with beautiful long red hair. "Ennorner gwanod in yngyl nan yryn." {Yes, but more will come. They are growing bolder.} She replied.

Thorin's sword was presented to the blond elf. The elf that gave him the sword called him Legolas so I presume that is his name. He inspected the sword. "Echannen i vegil hen vin Gondolin. Magannen nan Gelydh." {This sword was made in Gondolin. Forged by my kin.} Legolas said. "Where did you get this?" He asked Thorin. "It was given to me." Legolas pointed the sword at Thorin. "Not just a thief but a liar as well." Thorin had an angry and offended expression on his face. "Enwenno hain!" {Take them away!} Legolas ordered and we were pushed forward. Bofur turned to Thorin. "Thorin, where is Bilbo?" He asked. Thorin looked to me but I shrugged not knowing where he was. May Aulë protect his soul, I thought.

The elves led us through the forest. They pushed us when we were walking too slow or not where they wanted us to walk. We reached a bridge that led to big blue gates. The big gates opened and revealed a huge cave-like palace. Small pathways were going off into all kinds of directions. Out of fear for what was going to happen I grabbed the end of Thorin's coat. I was probably pulling too hard because Thorin looked back at me rather confused. "What's wrong?" I shook my head. "Nothing, I'm fine." I said releasing his coat. We were brought to the cells. Legolas who left us when we entered the palace came to my side and whispered something to the elf that was about to imprison me. The elf nodded and left me. "Come." Legolas said. "To where?" I asked suspiciously. The blond elf sighed deeply. He muttered something like "stubborn dwarves".
