Dakota's POV:
It was the next morning and I decided to go to the healing room. It was a beautiful morning and the sun shined brightly.
I entered the healing room and was greeted by one of the female healers. She had beautiful and silky dark brown hair. She smiled at me and led me to a bed. I sat down on the bed and the elleth unwrapped my arm. The wound hadn't healed fully but it was looking better. After the healer bandaged my arm again I left the healing room and went for a walk in the gardens of Rivendell.
It is such a beautiful place. I wish I could stay here forever but we need to reclaim Erebor.
I saw Lindir walking around the garden as well and I ran up to him. "Lindir!" he turned at the mention of his name and smiled at me. "Good morning, sis." He said with his elegant voice. Right... we're siblings... almost forgot that. "I understand if you don't want to be my sister." Lindir said with a low voice after I didn't response. I shook my head heavily.
"No! I love to have someone so kind as you as a brother. It's just weird... yesterday I thought I was an only child and now I have a brother." He nodded.
"I know, I thought the exact same." I could barely look Lindir in his eyes. If Laindir really is Lindir's father than what would his mother think about my mother or me.
"What does your mother think about this?" I asked my voice low.
"She took the ship into the west when she found out what my father had done. She was so heartbroken... she didn't want it to go on like that." He had left me speechless.
"I didn't want her to be unhappy so I let her go." He added. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him. He crouched so I could place my arms around his neck. When I pulled away I looked into Lindir's eyes. "I'm so happy that you are my brother, Lindir." He smiled and hugged me again.
{"It's good to see that my two children like each other!"} I turned around and saw my father walking towards us. {"My daughter, would you like to duel with me?"} I was confused by his offer. {"Why would I want to fight with you?"} He laughed softly. {"Because you must hate me. Hate isn't a good feeling so if you fight me maybe you'll feel released."} I narrowed my eyes at him. "When?" my father chuckled. "Noon, at the training grounds." I gave him a quick nod and he walked off.
"You know, father is one of the best soldiers of Rivendell." Lindir said looking into my eyes. I grinned. "I've had good training."
He sighed. "Good luck. I'll see you at the training grounds." He waved me goodbye.
I went off in search for Thorin because he might know where my weapons are. I found him with the rest of the company at the place where they had stayed the night and probably previous nights. Thorin walked up to me and kissed my cheek.
"Morning, beautiful. Did you sleep well? You weren't at breakfast this morning?" I gave him a quick smile. "I slept well, thank you. I was at the infirmary for my arm and I wasn't that hungry." He nodded.
"Do you know where my weapons are?" Thorin nodded again and walked over to a pile of weapons. "The elves gave them when you were in the healing room." He passed me my sword and knife.
"Do you need your bow?" I shook my head. "Why do you need them anyway?" he asked a little confused. At that moment Fili and Kili came running in.
"Kota! Are you going to fight your own father?!" they asked in disbelief but nonetheless excited. I nodded with a big smile on my face. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" Thorin asked concerned. "Of course! Why not?" Thorin just sighed.
