Dakota's POV:

I woke up and saw Kili crouched besides me. "Come on. We're leaving soon." He said and I stood up and gathered my things. I saw that Kili had once again hunted some rabbits and Fili was almost done preparing them. I walked up to them after I was done. Kili passed me a bowl and I started eating my breakfast. Within 30 minutes we had prepared our ponies and we began riding. The scene around us was very pretty. It was a simple valley with hills. I had never been in the Shire and I barely knew anything about it and its inhabitants. Hobbits inhabited it. They were also called Halflings or Shirefolk. We were making our way to a place called Hobbiton. It was located in the West Farthing. We were riding all day not stopping for anything not even lunch, which made me very grumpy.

It was starting to get dark when we finally reached Hobbiton. We had to find a house that had a mark on the door. I was very surprised when I saw that Hobbits lived in holes under the hill. After 10 minutes searching we hadn't found it yet because it was very big. "Why don't we just ask where it is?" I asked Fili and Kili. They looked back at me. "Ask? No we are not going to ask anything!" Fili said. Kili agreed. "We will find the place!" he said. I rolled my eyes. "Listen I'm hungry, you guys are hungry. I won't tell anyone we asked for help." They turned around in their saddle again. They looked at each other and nodded. "Only if you'll promise." Kili said. I rolled my eyes again and nodded. "I promise I won't tell anyone that you guys are embarrassed to ask for help, or that we got any help at." Fili narrowed his eyes and Kili gritted his teeth. I dismounted Naya and gave the reins to Fili. I walked over to two Hobbits. "Good evening, ma'am, sir. Can I ask you something?" They looked at me. Examining me from head to toe. When they glanced over my weapons I saw that they were getting uncomfortable. "I have no intention in using them. I am not here to hurt you." I said coolly. They relaxed but still looked at me with suspicion. "I am on my way to an important meeting but I don't know my way around here." the male Hobbit spoke. "And what kind of business does a half dwarf have in these parts of Middle-earth?" he said suspicion evident in his voice. Half dwarf? Was it that obvious? Okay I don't have a beard like all the other dwarfs but is that the reason it's so obvious that I'm a half blood? "I already said I'm here for a meeting. You don't need to know the details." The hobbit narrowed his eyes. "Where is it you need to go miss?" I smiled at him. "I am looking for Baggins. Someone told me he lived here." he lifted his head. "He lives in Bag End. Follow this path and at the end of it turn left. You'll see a big hole and that is where he lives." I thanked him and walked over to Fili who was holding Naya. "And? Do you know where it is?" Kili asked me curiously. "Of course I know where it is." I said as I mounted Naya. The boys chuckled and I took the lead. I could hear Kili talk to his brother. "Do you think it would be warm there?" "Of course it will. Why wouldn't it be?" Fili answered. "This hobbit better have lots of food, cause I'm starving!" Kili exclaimed. Fili and I laughed. At the end of the path we turned left and after not to long we reached a big hole. I looked at the door and saw a blue mark on the door. It was Gandalf's sign. "Well, at last we found it!" Fili said relieved. I dismounted Naya and saw that we weren't the first ones. "Look! Two of the other dwarfs are already here!" I exclaimed as I pointed at two ponies. I led Naya to the ponies and placed her next to them. Fili and Kili followed my lead. When they were done we walked over to the door.

I knocked on the door and took a step back so I stood next to the boys. The door opened and in front of us stood a hobbit. He had an irritated and confused look on his face. Fili started speaking. "Fili!" he said and Kili followed. "Kili!" "And Dakota!" we bowed in front of him. "At your service!" we said in perfect unison. "You must be master Boggins!" Kili said. I chuckled. I had told him multiple times that his name was Baggins not Boggins but he wouldn't believe me. "No you can't come in! You've come to the wrong house!" Master Baggins said while closing the door. Kili stopped him. "Has it been cancelled?" he asked him. "No one told us!" Fili added. The hobbit had a confused look. "Cancelled? No, nothing's been cancelled!" he said. Kili face lit up. "Well. That's a relief!" he exclaimed and we entered his hole. Fili gave his weapons to the hobbit. "Careful with these. I just had them sharpened." I detached my quiver and bow from my back and gave them to the hobbit. I removed my cloak and hung it up. I also gave my sword to the hobbit. Kili was looking around the hole. "Nice place! Did you do it yourself?" he asked. "No, it's been in the family for years." He said while Fili was still giving him his weapons. Kili was cleaning his boot against a box. The hobbit looked at him and exclaimed, "That's my mothers glory box. Could you please not do that?" I chuckled.
