Dakota's POV:

I woke up in a field of grass. The sky above me was blue and there were barely any clouds. It was warm, but there was still a slight breeze in the air. The air smelled of flowers, especially Lavender. I could've stayed there forever. Then I heard a voice scream. "HELP!!" I jumped up and ran to the place where I thought I heard the scream. I can't fight that well and barely wield a weapon, but if there is someone I can try to help then I will. When I got there my heart sunk to my stomach. It was an orcpack and a big one. They held someone captive. It was Thorin. His face was full of scars and he looked exhausted. The orcs released him and he fell to the ground. The orcs just left us. I ran to Thorin. I rolled him on his back. He gasped for air. Then I did something I could only do in my dreams. I bent over closer to his face and I gave him a gentle and tender kiss. When I pulled away his eyes were fully opened. "I love you too Kota." I gave him another kiss and when I pulled away again we were standing in the great hall of Erebor. I was wearing a long beautiful silk wedding dress. Thorin was standing in front of me. Everyone around us was clapping and cheering. Then a dwarf came up to me. I kneeled. The dwarf put a crown on my head. I stood up and took Thorin's hand and everyone yelled. "Long live the Queen!"

I woke up. Dim sunlight was shining through my curtains. I got out of bed. I walked over to my mirror. I looked a little tired. I washed my face and put some eyeliner on. I put on a clean dress and I braid my hair and put it in a bun. I open my curtains and look outside. It was just after sunrise. I walked out of my room and started making breakfast for my mother and me. After 10 minutes I was done. I walked to my mother's bedroom and woke her up. "Good morning, mother! Breakfast is ready so if you want to eat something warm I suggest you get ready." And with that I walked out of her room. I grabbed my plate and sat at the table.

After 3 minutes my mother walked in all ready. She grabbed her plate and sat at the table and started eating. "Did you enjoy yourself last night?" my mother asked. "Mom, I was working. It's not like I was partying." She chuckled. "But yes, I think it was okay for a work day." When I was done I cleaned up our plates. "Alright, I'm off to work, bye!" I walked out of the door and headed towards the castle. I never liked walking on the streets at this hour. Everybody was outside. People normally yelled at me and put me down. Now that I was on time I didn't have any reason to run and I didn't want to run, so the only thing I could do was hope I blend in.

"Oh, look! For once she isn't too late!" two dwarf ladies walked past me. They were so annoying! They both had golden blond hair and were best friends. The whole village loves them because they were so beautiful. "Why do they even keep her!?" I wanted to walk past them but they stood in front of me. "Where are we going?" I just looked at them. "Are you not going to stick up for yourself?" I remained quiet much to their dislike. "WE ASKED YOU SOMETHING!" one of them yelled. The other slapped me across my face. I fell to the ground. They burst out in laughter. All right! Now they are done! I am no skilled fighter, but Thorin taught me the basics of fighting without a weapon. They are going down!" I stood up. "You two have made a stupid mistake." They looked at me and laughed even harder. All right, I warned them!

I punched the first one under her chin. The second one watched in terror. "Now, it's your turn!" I punched her in her stomach and then I kicked her to the ground. The first one stood up and jumped me. We fell to the ground. She was on top slapping my face. Not very effective but then she started to punch me in my sides with a lot of power and she got some very good hits. I had the chance to punch her so I did. I could get on top and I started punching her sides. The second one somehow managed to stand up. She grabbed me from behind and pulled me from her friend. Then she threw me on the ground. I gasped in pain. My ribs were hurting and now my waist and back to. They were coming for me but I stood up. I wanted to throw them to the ground again but two guards rescued them and another one grabbed me. Some other guards asked the people what happened. "The half elf! She attacked them!" of course they would pick the side of those blondes. Bastards. Cowards. They were afraid of getting picked at by those two. The two guards took the girls to the healer. I was brought to the Great hall by two guards. Thorin had to punish me. Like he does with anybody who fights in the street or does something else against the law of the dwarfs. The doors opened and there at the end of the hall Thorin was sitting in his throne with Dís, Fili, Kili and Balin standing next to him. I felt so ashamed I normally stood somewhere in a corner with the other servants, but now I was the one who had done something wrong.
