Chapter 28 - Make A Wish

Chapter 28

Louis's POV

"Here we are." Richard said. The driver parked the car in front of an old looking church. Oh who am I kidding, all churches ARE old. This one just looks older.

"Um, Richard? Where are we exactly?" Jillian said looking really amazed about the church.

"Everyone, follow me." We entered the church and it looked extraordinary. The altar was really made special.

"This is the San Agustin Church. The Filipinos believe that when you get married here, the married couple will have a smooth relationship until death tears them apart. They'll have less problems than the norm."

(BTW : There is a real San Agustin church but the one about the married couple thingy, I made that up for the heck of the story.)

"Wow!" was the only word that escaped everyone's lips except mine. Why did I get myself into this?

"Um.. excuse me Richard?" I interrupted him.

"Yes, Louis?"

"How can you say that? Are there proofs that that statement is true?" I asked with my chin held up high.

"Actually yes. My wife and I got married here and we had a very beautiful family and a smooth, happy married life."

A chorus of "Burn!" was heard from behind. The boys... UGH!

"All right, enough lads.Sorry about that Chard." Paul said. I just rolled my eyes on the boys.

"Can we just go in? Please?" the girls said in unison.

"Let's go then." Paul said. I put my arms around my fiance's waist and she did the same.

"Uncle Louis? Carry?" A small voice said while while I felt a slight tug on my pants. I looked down and saw Baby Lux with her lower lip out and pleading eyes staring at me.

"How can I say no to those eyes." I said as Lux's eyes widen and a toothy grin on her lips. I picked her up and we went in. Another chorus of "Wow!"s were shared among everyone but now, including me. Jillian's eyes were locked on the alter, actually everyone's eyes.

"Since it's your first time here, Filipino's belive that you can make a wish. But make sure to keep that wish a secret for 3 days or else it won't come true." Nikki informed us. We all followed them in front of the church. I put Lux down and we all knelt on the cushions (I don't know the english term for "luhuran". anyone know?) and made our wishes.

I looked to my right where Jillian was kneeling beside me with her eyes shut and her hands clasped together. I did the same and made my wish. I wished for mine and Jillian's relationship to stay the same after she finds out about my little "affair" and for our marriage to work smoothly. Even if we need to get married in this very church like what Richard said I will do it. As long as I make her mine forever.

Jillian's POV

I looked to my left to see Louis really focused on wishing his wish. Hmmm. I wonder what his wish was.

I wished for a long, happy married life with my one true love. Of course I also wished for a happy family to go with that wish. I would love to have a daughter to play doll with and to fix her hair before she leaves for her first day of school. I really do hope these wishes come true.

Eleanor's POV

Finally! Welcome to the Philippines El! You better get ready to look for Louis tomorrow. I'm too tired to start today. I called a taxi to take me to the hotel where I booked a week stay.

"Where to miss?" the driver asked.

"To Sofitel Philippine Plaza Hotel please." I told him sweetly. He nodded and and drove to the hotel.

After a 25 minute drive the taxi stopped. I paid the driver and thanked him. I went to the reception area and asked for the hotel keys. After a 5 minute conversation and typing on the computer they finally found my name and gave me my room key. I got in the elevator and pressed the button for the 8th floor. The elevator dinged signaling I have arrived my floor.

"811, 812, 813, ah here it is. 814. I put the room key and turned the door knob. The room had a king sized bed in the middle with a flat screen TV in front of it. I quickly put my bags down and went on the bathroom to fix myself a well-deserved bubble bath. Hmmm.. I really deserve that. After the tub was filled I mixed the bath gel provided by the hotel and got in. I thought of my plan for tomorrow while enjoying a glass of champagne.

I really hope I won't get disappointed on this trip.

I really need get MY Louis back.
