Next morning I woke up and I was able to get up without waking Padge, so I went in for a shower as quietly as possible and then I went to kitchen to feed Morticia and clean up her mess, I left a note to say I'll be back in a little bit. Once I got to the car, my phone rang, this time thankfully it was a phone call I would answer, it was my boss at Metal Hammer.
Poppy: Hello
Dougie: Hey Poppy, listen I wanna thank you for recommending Olivia to do the Nightwish gig in your absence, she took amazing shots
Poppy: Oh good, I'm glad
Dougie: Listen are you sorted with your personal problems?
Poppy: Yeah it seems to be OK now
Dougie: Good, listen I wanna know if you be willing to work with Olivia together?
Poppy: Of course I would, she is so nice
Dougie: Good so I was wondering will Ye be the main photographers for Metal Hammer at Download this year
Poppy: Omg are U serious?
Dougie: Yes deadly serious
Poppy: Omg yes in a heartbeat, I will
Dougie: Brilliant, I will email U everything you need and I will organise for Ye to have transport
Poppy: Its not too far away from where I live, I have my own car
Dougie: OK well I will organise a caravan type thing for you to haul with your car then
Poppy: Excellent, who are the biggest acts this year?
Dougie: Slipknot, Rammstein, Five Finger Death Punch, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Korn, Stone Sour and Bullet For My Valentine are the biggest acts announced.
Poppy: Omg Bullet are doing it?
Dougie: Yes, why?
Poppy: Just happy, I love them and Rammstein
Dougie: Awesome, so that is a big yes so?
Poppy: Most defiently, thank you
Dougie: No problem, I'll email you in a little bit, gotta go to meeting now so talk soon.
Poppy: OK thank you.
So I was doing cartwheels and somersaults in my head, knowing I was going to download, I pull out the driveway and head to supermarket to get stuff for breakfast, I decided to get some pancakes, fruit and cream for awesome pancakes. Got milk and sugar in for the coffees and some dog food for Morticia. I headed back to house and everyone was up, I walked in all smiley and happy.
Padge: Someone is awfully happy today
Poppy: That's cos someone got the best news ever this morning
Padge: Care to share?
Poppy: My boss at Metal Hammer rang and asked me and the girl I got to cover for me at Nightwish gig to be the main photographers for Metal Hammer at this year's Download festival
Padge: Wow cool, we playing that gig
Poppy: Yeah my boss mentioned that alright, and frigging Rammstein too
Padge: Don't fuck with me
Poppy: I'm not, they are seriously playing, they main event on last day
