Chapter 78

Padge's P.O.V

I'm sitting at Pops beside with well over an hour now and I received a text that the others were coming back in now after finishing their food.

I was so hungry now so I was glad some food was coming to me. Olivia has a heart of gold making me something to eat and making sure my strength was up.

I got a fright all of a sudden when the machine Pops was hooked up to started making noise, it sounded awful, a nurse comes flying in and she lifts Pops head up and we both saw blood, the nurse pressed a red button that sounded an alarm and doctors and more nurses came flying in, they said she is hemorrhaging again and she needs to be operated on again. They unhooked her from the machines and wires and started wheeling her down to the operating room again.

My heart sank..

I can't lose her...

About 20 minutes passed and everyone came into the waiting room.

Matt: Padge, what's going on?

Padge: She gone up for surgery again

Zoltan: What? Why?

Padge: Machines started making noises and nurse came flying in, she lifted Pops head and she was bleeding out again, they said she was starting to hemorrhage again

Ivan: Fuck sake the poor girl

Padge: Yeah, I dunno if she is strong enough to pull through this again

Ivan: She is mate

Olivia: I have food for you, please keep your strength up pet

Padge: I can't, not now

Lzzy: Come on Padge, she needs you to be strong, that means eating, you didn't eat anything with hours

Padge: I know but I'm too worried

Brian: We all mate, but you gotta eat

So I thanked Olivia and I ate what I could.

Padge: Thanks Liv, it was lovely but I can't eat it all

Olivia: It's ok and you're welcome

Another hour passed before the doctor came out to us all.

Doctor: Hi Michael, she is ok, we stopped the bleeding and she suffered no more incidents, we be keeping a closer look at her but again she should recover

Padge: Are you sure? Ye said that last time and she bled out

Doctor: Yes, I'm sure, now it could be a few hours before she wakes up again, so would you like to go freshen up a bit at home?

Padge: No chance mate, I'm staying put till she wakes up

Lzzy: Least go have a shower Padge and a bit more food

Padge: Ok but no longer than an hour and I'm coming back

Doctor: That's fine, you need to look after yourself too Michael cos she needs to rely on you after this, she needs meds and a bit of constant care after this as she is going to be a bit uneasy on her feet for a few weeks

Padge: Ok thanks doc

So Matt, Moose, Jai, Olivia, Charlotte and Stephi took me home to Olivia's house so I could shower and eat something else, I also took the opportunity to smoke my brains out a bit too.

I am in me and Pops bedroom after the shower and I look at the bedside locker and see the photo of myself and Pops on our wedding day. She was stunning in her dress and her smile was radiant. I would do anything to see her like that again, maybe have another photo of us with a kid on the other bedside locker.
