Padge's P.O.V
My heart is broken, I lost this baby too but Poppy is inconsolable and I dunno how to fix it. She has being crying for ages harder and louder until her body gave up on her and she fell asleep from the exhaustion of it all. My babes has being through a lifetime of hell in the space of a few months and this adding to the pile is surely gonna make her crack. I lift her gently up off my chest and place her head on the pillow and give her a kiss and put the blanket over her and head back down to the guys.
Matt: Fuck Padge she's in bits isn't she?
Padge: Yeah man, I dunno what I can do to help her, I tried to console her but her cries got louder, she fell asleep there with exhaustion.
Olivia: Dunno how she gonna cope in 2 weeks time
Padge: What's in 2 weeks?
Olivia: Shit, she didn't get chance to tell you?
Padge: Tell me what?
Olivia: She got a letter in post this morning saying that the court date for them 2 girls is in 2 weeks time
Padge: Fuck sake, no wonder she all over the place, everything is piling up on her, I hope this is not gonna drive her to do something stupid or have a breakdown
Charlotte: Maybe she needs to breakdown Padge, she doesn't seem to have gone through that yet, she just takes it in her stride and gets on with it, maybe she just needs to crack and see how many people are there for her and care for her
Padge: Yeah maybe or it could all go south and she will push us all away
Matt: Hopefully not
Padge: Kinda bummed we leaving in 2 days, don't wanna leave her in a bad state
Olivia: I know it's terrible to say but at least she can come over to visit you now
Padge: Yeah I guess but I doubt she will see the good side in that
Olivia: I know, I'm sorry Padge, I'm terrible at giving advice in these situations
Padge: I know I'm the same, I can't even comfort my own fiancee
Stephi: She knows your there for her, we all here for both of ye
Padge: Thanks, Matt you coming out for a ciggie?
Matt: Yeah ok, just make a coffee first
Padge: Think I need a beer
Olivia: There is whiskey in cupboard if you fancy something stronger Padge
Padge: Thanks Liv
Olivia: No probs
So I grab a beer while Matt makes a coffee and we go outside
Matt: So how are you really feeling? You lost this baby too, you must be bummed too
Padge: Yeah of course I am but I'm more worried for Poppy's state of mind after everything she has being through
Matt: Yeah I guess but don't forget you have being through so much too
Padge: How so?
Matt: You have being through just as much as Poppy, you were there with her for most of it, especially the house fire and now with Caroline back and bothering you, you must be going off the walls crazy too
Padge: Yeah I guess, I never thought of it like that, I was always too worried for Poppy's safety, fuck Matt I really love her and if something happened now, I dunno what I would do
