Chapter 27: Cozy Awakening

*PEETA'S POV*

I begin to wake up. I feel something in my arms and in my grasp. I stir around and open my eyes to see Katniss in my arms. At first I'm a bit confused but then I smile at the memory.

*FLASHBACK*
I drive Katniss home from the date. She stirs around in the car seat. She looks so adorable, I can't actually believe that she's mine. She looks perfect in every single way. She's always full of joy and her smile makes my heart melt. She always puts others lives before hers and that makes her an amazing person. Honestly, I don't know what I would do without her. I drive up to Katniss' driveway in her house.

"Katniss we're here." She doesn't bust a move. I look over to her and hear soft snores. I see that she's fallen fast asleep. I smile at her adorableness. I carry her all through her house and to her bedroom and place her on her bed. Just as I'm about to go out I hear a faint whisper.

"Peeta, will you stay with me?" I nod and place myself next to her tiny body. I kiss her forehead.

"Always," She smiles and snuggles up to me until darkness takes over.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I look over to Katniss and see that she stirs a bit. She opens her eyes and yawns. She's too cute.

"Good morning beautiful." I say.
"Morning," Katniss says in awe. She stares at me acting as if her favorite celebrity crush, Josh Hutcherson, would have kissed her cheek.

"May I ask why the gorgeous girl in front of me is staring at me?" I smile and kiss her cheek. She giggles.
"Peeta James Mellark, you have a really sexy morning voice." She answers. I chuckle.
"Oh so do I?" I say. Katniss smiles from ear to ear.
"Well you Katniss Renee Everdeen are very sexy and cute when you wake up too." She giggles.
"Why thank you." We both smile. I peck her lips and warmth goes all through my body. We break away when we hear someone burst through the door.

"Katniss you're gonna be late fo-WOAH THERE PARTNER!" We hear Primrose shout. My face is full of embarassment and so is Katniss'.

"Ahem, uh Prim next time please knock on the door." Katniss says slightly irritated but buries her head onto my chest and smiles shyly.

"Awwwwww, you two are just sooooooo cute!" Primrose jumps up and down. "But I came here to tell you that you're gonna be late for school if you dont get your lazy butt out of bed! Same goes to you too Peeta!" Oh Prim. Katniss looks over at her clock and her eyes nearly pop out of her head.

"Shit! Its 7:39!" Katniss throws a pillow at Prim but misses her by an inch. "Get out I need to get ready." Katniss says to Prim.

"Mkay I'll be downstairs." She runs away. I get out of bed and get ready as well. Its a good thing i have extra pair of clothes in my car. I change into my clothes and go check on Katniss.

I knock on her door. "Come in." I enter to see that she's tying her shoelaces. She's wearing a crop shirt with the words '5 Seconds of Summer' on it. That's her favorite punk rock band that she always talks about. She always says that Calum is a chubby cheek cutie or that Luke is a shy little penguin. I honestly think thats very cute of her. She also wears some light, blue skinny jeans and her hair is in a high ponytails with some loose strands hanging out.

"You ready?" I ask her.
"Yep, let's go."

I head to our lockers with Katniss and see that Delly and Gale are right beside Katniss' locker. Katniss squeezes my hand. Once Delly sees me she smirks.

"Heeeeey Peeeeta." She says in her snotty voice.
"What do you want?" I ask angrily clenching my fist together. Katniss holds me tighter.
"Oh can't a girl talk her boyfriend in peace around here." Delly smirks and wink at me.
"Delly are you out of your mind! You have like 10 boyfriends right now that you sleep with every night. Never ever would I ever date you because you're just a slut that sleeps with a different guy each night!" Delly's smirk is long gone now.

"Just you wait Mellark. You will be mine someday." She turns around and walks away with her tiny butt swaying back an forth. Gale, who I forgot was right beside her gives me a glare and walks away with Delly. An idea suddenly pos into my head.

"Katniss do you still get those notes on your locker?" She frowns and nods.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because I think I know who's behind those notes."
