Chapter 6: The Party

*KATNISS POV*

Its finally the day of the party and im so nervous that i feel like throwing up right now. Im at finnick's doorstep with my group of girls and it seems like they are nervous too. I ring the doorbell. Finnick answers.
"You guys came! Im so excited to see you guys!" Although Finnick was part of the bad boy group, he was still like a brother to me.
"Finnick!" Annie runs to Finnick and kisses him on the lips. It must feel good to be in a relationship.
"Well come in guys." As we walk in i see Thresh, Cato, Madge, And a bunch of other people i dont know. Then i suddenly see perfection. Peeta was standing in the corner drink his beer and talking to a girl, a pretty good-looking girl to be exact. My chances of talking to him are over. Just then he walks up to me with the girl following him.

"Hey I thought you wouldnt come, i thought you were to embarassed to show your little face around here."
"Same goes to you too." I reply back.
"Whatever, anyways this is my friend Delly, i invited her over too."
"Its very nice to meet you! I hope you and I can become great friends!" Delly seems pretty nice. Also shes pretty, hot, sexy, nice, what other would a guy be looking for? My chances with Peeta are rui-no Katniss shut up.

"Anyways i guess ill be over there getting more beer, you want some?"

"Um no thanks i dont drink.... unlike your drunk ass." i say back.

After a few minutes of arriving, Finnick suggest we play the stupidest game ever, Truth or Dare so we do. We all sit down in a circle and Finnick spins the bottle first. The bottle lands on Gale.
"Gale! truth or dare!"
"Eh dare, i can go a bit wild tonight."
"Okay, i dare you to kiss the person next to you." Gale was sitting next to Madge snd the next thing you know they were roughly making out on the floor. It was a bit disturbing to watch at the least but we are playing with the Truth or Dare rebel, Finnick. After Gale finishes making out with Madge he spins the bottle. It lands on Peeta.

"Peeta truth or dare?"
"Uh dare."
"Okay i dare you to kiss a girl that you have a crush on right now."
"Dude no..I can't." He says nervously. Actually I dont think i have even seen him nervous before ever since the day I first saw him back.

"It's a dare you gotta do it!" Gale yells.
"Fine!" He stands up and walks up to me and Delly. He's probably going to kiss Delly because, well you know, but instead he walks up to me and his lips touch my lips. For a second I don't know what to do so i just sit there but after a few seconds i start kissing him back. His soft lips feel so good against mine. I forget everything that's around me right now and focus on Peeta. His blond curls over his forehead, his sky blue eyes, his gentle soft lips meeting against mine, hes just so perfect. Well the next thing you know we are kissing on the ground just like Gale and Madge, although this time people have gotten bored of the game so they went somewhere else. He starts moving his hand up my shirt grabbing it up but I slowly push it down.

"Not...now..alone." I whisper.

We slowly get up and run to the guest bedroom Finnick has. We start where we left off. Peeta slowly pulls my shirt off and he slowly takes his shirt off. We are still kissing and it never stops, my lips meeting on his, our tongues roughly fighting each other as if they were wrestling. We both slowly go under the covers and from then on things go by so swiftly, which is weird since I didn't drink tonight.

"I love you so much Katniss." I hear Peeta say and that's the only thing that I can remember at the moment before I drift into sleep.
