Chapter 22: Life F*cking Sucks

*KATNISS POV*
Its been weeks since ive gotten that note but surprisingly, nothing has happened. Peeta and I have been really careful but nothing is happening. Im still pretty worried that maybe whoever is writing the notes is planning to do something huge to us so im still gonna watch my back.

"Hey Katniss." Says Peeta as he runs toward me through the school halls.
"Hey Peetie. Whatcha' up to"
"Nothing much, just was gonna head over to math class." he answers.
"Okay yeah me too. Wait i gotta get my notebook, I'll catch up with you later." i say.
"No ill go with you Katniss."
"No really im fine. Im just getting my notebook, no biggy." i answer.
"Yes biggy, i dont want anything to happen to you. Remember what happened last time? Yeah i dont want that to happen again Katniss." he says giving me a worried look.
"Peeta come on. I'll watch out this time, i can take care if myself." I walk off but Peeta grabs my hand.
"Katniss, cant you see that i dont want anything to happen to you, so please let me protect you so that you can be safe. I couldn't make it up to myself if you ever got hurt, i care to much for you so please let me protect you!" He says louder. People start staring at us.
"Well if you care about me then just let me protect my own self. I dont need you risking all your time just to make me safe." I say
"KATNISS, ugh. Cant you accept the fact that someone actually want to do something nice for you for once! I mean for heavens sake, you always are so stubborn and never want anyone to care for you!" He says. Right after he says that, he immediatly regrets it. I now have tears coming down my eyes. I cant believe Peeta would actually say that to me. He never yells at me and i just am heartbroken by that.

I run off into the girl's bathroom. Peeta runs off after me. I can hear his footsteps running towards me but i quickly head to the girl's bathroom and sit down near the sink. I hear Peeta appologizing and banging on the bathroom door. I dont bother answering. After a few minutes my nightmare walks into the bathroom.

"Oh why isnt it the stubborn, careless girl. What are you doing here little girl, are you crying your eyes out cuz you little lover boy yelled at you?" I look up and see that Delly Cartwright is there but without her squad.
"Katniss, lets admit it, Im the girl he should actually be dating and everyone knows that, like i mean look at me. Im perfect." She says.
I stare at her. She right, she is perfect. Her flawless, smooth hair, her thin, fitting body, and her expensive shiny clothes all make her look like the barbie every girl dreams to have.

"Now lets have some fun around here. I bet that if you die, no one will even notice that you are gone, shall we test that theory?" I start panicking. Delly grabs my throat and throws me to the bathroom mirror. She hits my head against the mirror. Just then everything goes black.
