Chapter 35: Our Little Secret

*Katniss POV*

The Next Day

I wake up with a stirring feeling in my stomach. I look around, confused on what happened yesterday but at that instant the memories come back to me. I smile and fall back on my bed. I kissed Peeta. It felt so magical and I don't know how to explain it. All I can think about is his soft plump lips touching my parted lips, moving in sync. I touch my mouth, I can still feel the warmth of his lips on mine. I shake my head smiling and crawl out of bed.

I decide to go to Peeta's house today. He told me that his mother was out of town for a couple of days so that's good. I take a shower and get ready for today. I put on a plain black shirt with black skinny jeans and a black leather jacket. I chuckle at the thought of me always wearing black. I then decide to just leave my hair in it's natural wild curls.  

I grab my phone out and text Peeta.

Me: Hey im on my way(:

A few moments later I feel my phone buzz.

PeetaTheFriend: Uh i don't think you can come today...sorry

My smile fades as I read the text. Was something wrong? Did he not want me to come over? Well obviously since he said I can't come over. I start to feel worried. What if something happened? I sigh and just lay down on my bed again, rolling myself in the thousands of blankets I have. I didn't want anything bad to happen between Peeta and I. I don't want to ruin the bond we have. Wait why am I feeling all these feelings? Is there something wrong with me? How come I have these weird feelings in my stomach whenever I'm around Peeta...oh shit. Am I falling in love?

*Peeta POV*

I woke up with a strange stirring feeling in my stomach. I smile at the thought of yesterday coming back to my mind. I kissed Katniss. Does she feel the same way I feel towards her? She kissed me back so I'm guessing she felt something. I never thought that she would kiss me back but I'm so glad she did.

I get up and get ready for the day. Maybe I can hang out with Katniss today. I really want to see if she felt special when we kissed. I take a shower and head downstairs to get something to eat. As I reach for a glass of water I hear the doorbell ring. A certain feeling inside of my head hopes that's Katniss. I rush to the door hoping to see Katniss, but instead I see the opposite.

"Hello Peeta." She says. Her long blonde hair falls onto her shoulders as she looks up at me with a smile. Those deep blue eyes never seem to fall from mine.

"Katherine?" She smiles.

"Yep, the one and only." She pushes me out of the way and steps into the house.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I ask coldly. She smirks and twirls her hair in her fingers.

"Just came to say hi, face it you know you miss me." I start to feel the anger boil up inside of me.

"Are you out of your fucking mind? I hate you with all my heart and I want you to leave." The smirk never seems to leave her face. I thought I would never see her again. When I moved away, I met her in the school I was going to. We dated for a while until she cheated on me with my best friend. She was the one who made me forget about Katniss for a while. She threw my heart against the wall and it shattered into pieces. After that I never had a smile on my face ever since.

Suddenly I get a text from Katniss.

Kitty💕: Hey im on my way(:

I look at Katherine still twirling her hair in her fingers.

Me: Uh i don't think you can come today...sorry

Katherine seemed to notice that I was texting her. The smirk growing on her face.

"And who is that? Your girlfriend? Why don't you dump her and be with me." She walks closer to me and slides her hand down my thigh. I can't believe she's doing this.

"What the actual fuck Katherine, I said to leave!" Katherine grabs my little friend with her hands. I jump up and gasp at her sudden gesture. 

"I know you want me Peeta." She whispers in my ear while leaving soft kisses down my neck. I don't move or speak at all. My little friend starts to bolt up with excitement and Katherine notices this. This can't be happening.

"See what I mean." She says as she crashes her lips on mine. My brain is telling me not to kiss back, but my body fucking wants it. I grab her face in my hands and kiss her back. The kiss turns into a rough, hot, steamy kiss. It's not as passionate and loving as the kisses with Katniss although. I send kisses down her neck. Katherine lets out a moan.

"This can be our little secret." She says as she attacks me with her lips.
