Chapter 12

{Kiana's P.O.V}

I was woken out of my sleep by my phone ringing. I picked it up off the dresser and looked at the caller ID. It was my mother. I rubbed my eyes and blinked twice. It's been a few weeks since we've spoken to each other. I pressed answer and put the phone to my ear.

"Hello?" I yawned and looked over at my alarm clock, 6:00am

"Hey sweetheart, I know its early and I want to let you get back to sleep but I have some great news!"she whispered into the phone.

"Uh ok?" I yawned a little louder to make her feel guilty for waking me up.

"In coming home in a few weeks, And not just to visit,but now im here to stay!" She sounded a little too excited.

"Oh,umm cool?" I was tired and a little upset,I didn't know what to say at that moment.

"Sweetie im gonna let you go back to sleep, I will talk to you in a few days! I love you!" Her voice sounded happier

"Ok." And with that I hung up the phone.

I slipped out of bed and look at my clock for the 2nd time this morning. It was 9 o'clock. It was a perfect sunny day so why not go swim in the pool. I put on my pink bikini and tied my hair up in a messy bun. I went into Zuri's room to invite her to come swim with me. But then I remembered that she was sleeping over at her friends house. Silently, I tiptoed down the stairs. I really don't know why I was being really quiet. I opened the screen down and laid my beach towel on the patio.

I strechtched out in the sun and smiled brightly. It felt so good the soak up some summer sun. I slipped on my sunglasses and closed my eyes.

"Hey girl." Said a familiar voice

I took off my sunglasses and squinted from the brightness. "Hey Felicia." I looked ah her and she was wearing a red

Bikini.

"Mind if I join you?" She layed out her towel next to mine."

"Not at all." Felicia and I kind of stopped talking when zack and I started hanging out, not to mention they broke up.

"How did you know I was going swimming?" I gave her a puzzled look.

"We're just best friends I know you to well." She smiled.

We layed out in the sun for awhile until i got up to walk around the pool. Next thing I knew I was surrounded by water. Felicia pushed me in. Oh great. I came up gasping for air.

"Forget you." I rolled my eyes at her and couldn't help but smile.

"Your welcome!" She jumped into the pool.

We swam around swimming and splashing water at each other until we heard the backyard gate click. We both turned are heads. It was Zuri in a swimsuit. She must of went swimming at her friends house. When she saw us the brightest smile came onto her little face. She ran over to us and jumped into the pool.

After about an hour of "sister swimming time" we all headed inside to take showers then to bake s'mores., cookies, and anything else sweet. We were frosting sugar cookies when the doorbell rang. I licked the frosting off my thumb and skipped over to the door. I tied my wet hair up into a ponytail and opened the door, and gasped in shock.
