Chapter 19

"You Little Whore!" Zack spat at me as he got up from his bed. "Why did you kiss him!??!"

So many thoughts swirled around in my head, i felt dizzy. I grabbed onto the doorknob for support. "I-I-I....." I stuttered

"Why!?!" He shouted again, then accidentally knocked over a glass on his desk. It crashed to the floor, breaking into a million pieces.

"I don't know ok! It all kind of just happened! I didn't know what to do!" I shouted back at him, a lump forming in my throat.

"I can't believe you would cheat on me

Kiana!" He threw his hands up in the air.

No words would escape my lips. I just stared at him frightend. I"ve never seen him this angry.

"It's over Kiana! I thought you were the one for me. Obviously not." He growled at me. His words stung.

A few seconds later there was a light tap on the door.

"Are you kids alright in there? I heard a crash." Mr Johnson said from outside the door.

I opened the door. "I was just leaving. Good night Mr Johnson." I quickly said and walked out of the house and into the damp cold air.

Zack's P.O.V

My dad walked into my room and sat on the bed. He looked at my fist which were balled up tightly.

"Everything alright son?" He sat up a little straighter.

"She cheated on me dad! She actually cheated!" I screamed at him,sweat trickling down my forehead.

"Do you love her?" He looked at me thoughtfully.

"Of course I love her! She meant everything to me." I fell to my knees and put my hands in my face.

"Son, come here. You see, everyone makes mistakes. If you really love her, give her some time. You both seem like you need to think." He rubbed his chin.

"You should probably get some sleep Zack, its getting late." He got up, patted me on the back, and left my room, closing the door behind him.

Kiana's P.O.V

I laid in bed and just cried. I cried for at least an hour straight. The tears would not stop falling from my eyes. I tried everything to make them stop, but they wouldn't. My mom would be getting home any second now, And I didn't want her to see my like this. I was weak. I was disgusted by how much I've been crying lately. I've never cried so much. I was broken.

I could hear my mom opening Zuri's bedroom door to check to see if she was sleeping. After a second she opened my door. There I laid motionless. My eyes red and puffy. My cheek stained with tears. My mom rushed over to me and sat on the bed. I was the first to speak.

"We broke up mom!He fucking hates me!" I sobbed angrily, my mother not even caring that I swore in front of her.

She rubbed my arm." No he doesn't.... He loves you too much to ever hate you sweetie. He's just upset thats all. Give him some time." She smiled at me.

"Mom, do you really think he loves me?" I sniffled.

"Of course. I personally think you love him too. Your always so happy when he's around." She smiled brighter.

We talked for a few more minutes, then my mom got up to go get ready for bed. After a few minutes I was able to peacefully drift off to sleep.

I woke up the next morning at 10:00am. I went downstairs to see my mother on the phone.

"Oh. Ok. We"ll be right over. Thank you." She said into the phone, then hung up, grabbing her purse off the counter.

"Mom whats wrong?" I leaned against the kitchen table.

She put her hand up to her mouth, Her eyes filled with tears. Then she finally spoke.

"Kiana.......Zack's been shot."
