Chapter 24

{Kiana's P.O.V}

"Deep breaths. That's it." Connor soothingly said to me, while rubbing my back.

I shut my eyes tight. The guys didnt tell me we were going over to Zacks. All they told me was to pack a light overnight bag. As soon as we pulled up in his driveway and parked, It was like I had forgotten how to breath. My breathe began to come out in short ragged breathes, and my eyes began to water. Connor had jumped out the car, and into the back seat making sure I was ok. Now, I was sort of begining to calm down, But I felt a little light headed.

Connor still began to rub my back softly. I put my head on his shoulder keeping my eyes shut. He sighed.

"Kiana, you can't hide from him forever, you know." He said softly.

"I know." I replied back in almost a whisper.

"Come on let's go inside. If you're still feeling lightheaded maybe you can go lay in the guest room." He rested his hand on my back softly.

"Ok." I sighed and opened my eyes.

He opened the car door, and got out. He grabbed my varsity jacket and handed it to me, when I got out the car. He grabbed his bag, then handed me my own. I slipped on my jacket, shut the door, then just stood there. I leaned against the car door and took a deep breath. come on Kiana you can do this, I said to myself. I nodded my head, and we began to walk to the front door. Before knocking Connor gave me a wink, signaling everything would be ok. He finally knocked on the door, but right before anyone awnsered I was about to take off and run, but connor grabbed my arm quickly.

"LET ME GO!" I SCREAMED.

"THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD KIANA!" Connor said in a warning voice.

As we were arguing back and forth, the door opened. We hadn't even noticed, but there stood Kendrick. I noticed it wasnt Zack, and snatched my arm away. Kendrick was like an older brother to me.

"KENDRICK!" I screamed happily and engulfed him into a bear hug.

"Good to see you too." He chuckled.

As I let go, and we walked into the house, he gave Connor a pat on the shoulder.

As we walked into the house, the smell of lemon wood cleaner hit my nose. This had always been the smell of Zacks house, and in a way it comforted me. We walked into the living room, and there stood Zack laughing with Travis. When he saw me, a smiled formed on his lips. I gave a really small smile back. I kind of just stood there staring at him. I turned to Connor.

"I... Um.... You know.... In gonna.... Bye. " it was like I had forgotten how to talk. I grabbed my bag and walked into the guest room, shutting the door lightly. I slapped myself on the forehead. The least I could have done was given him a hug. I took off my shoes and laid on the bed. The sheets had the faint smell of fabric softener. I shut my eyes. There was a light knock on the door.

"Come in." I groaned in annoyance keeping my eyes close

I didnt know who entered the room, so I opened my eyes. Zack accompanied by Connor walked Into the room, and sat on each side of the bed. I put both hands over my face, and sighed. Then I sit up.

"Hey K." Zack greeted me opening his arms.

I scooted over on the bed and wrapped my arms around him. I sighed in relief. We just sat there and hugged.

"Awh, this is a kodak moment." Connor said sweetly

We both shot him an evil glare. He put his hands up in defense. I scooted away from Zack, grabbed one of the pillow from the bed and threw it at Connor. Which sent him flying off the bed. I threw my head back and burst out laughing. And for once It felt good to laugh.

Connor stood up off the ground and frowned at me.

"Rude." He said dramatically and snapped his fingers.

"Do you want me to apologize?" I said softly trying not to laugh.

"That would be nice." He smirked.

I walked over to him, and gave him a light kiss on the cheek. I winked at him then walked out the room.

"APOLOGY EXCEPTED!" He screamed loudly enough for the whole house to hear.

I chuckled lightly, and walked into the living room to see what Travis and Kendrick were up to.
