Today is Saturday March 5th. My first birthday without  my parents. Today I turn 17 and I plan on getting really drunk and doing a lot of stupid shit, because why not? I lay awake in my bed staring at the ceiling at 9am when my door bursts open and the Simones enter holding a cake, colorfully packed presents and singing 'happy birthday' very bad. Giggling I sit up in my bed

"Make a wish and blow out the candles" Aunty Jane speaks as she holds the cake in front off my face, if my parents were here right now I would've wished for nothing but their happiness but since they aren't I wish that they were here with me right now and blow out the candles

"Happy Birthday Skai, we love you!" Charlie and Kait chorus handing me presents, Uncle Pat hands me a wad of cash and says

"Go get yourself something pretty for your party tonight"

"Thank you all so much you honestly didn't have to do any of this and party..?"

"Yeah me and Kait planned you one and don't worry there's not going to be any grown ups so we'll have fun" Charlie smirks

"Now get dressed I'm taking you shopping!!!" Kait squeals, well this should be fun. Pushing the thought off my parents to the back of my mind I get up walk over too my cupboard choosing out black high waisted jeans and a plain blue crop top adding my white converse. I leave my room looking for Kaitlyn. When I spot her she grabs her keys and asks

"Are you ready?"

"Yeah" I reply and with that we're off to the shopping mall in her black Mercedes .

10 minutes later we arrive there and she drags me to Victoria's Secret first where I pick out some cute bras and knickers. Next we go to Selfridge's my favorite place, we're in there for a while and after trying on 100 different dresses I eventually decide on what to get, a lacy black body con dress with black studded leather courts. Classy but sexy. Kaitlyn decided on a white body con dress with a gold zip going down the middle with black peep toe heels. Paying for our outfits we leave the shop and head to the food court.

1 hour later we're on our way back home,

"We have 4 hours to get dressed before heading off to the party" Kaitlyn announces as we pull up in her drive way.

"Okay that's great, thanks for everything Kait" I smile. I wonder whose been invited, I hope Scarletts there.

"Now get into the shower quickkkk!" She pushes me up the stairs then walks into the kitchen. Before getting into the shower I lay my dress out onto the bed and grabbing my towel walking into the bathroom. I take a few minutes to look at myself in the mirror

"I really miss you mummy and daddy" I speak to myself trying not to cry

Turning on the shower I strip and step in letting the warm water hit my body, grabbing my shampoo I wash my hair twice then I shave my legs and finish off by washing my body with shower gel. Finishing with all that I step out off the shower and dry myself with the towel deciding to do my make-up first. Putting a bath robe on I take out my make up bag from the draws and first apply my foundation. Blending that in I add face powder and blusher. Then I add a subtle gold eye shadow topping that off with winged eyeliner and mascara. Finally I add some red lipstick.

I stare at my appearance, happy with my face I walk back into my bedroom and check the time. 3:45, About 1 hour left. I put my dress on adding my heels and start with my hair, blow drying it then straightening it. 40 minutes later I finish with that and stand in front of the full length mirror.
