Jordan's POV
"Can I stay with you?" were the words lingering in the air followed by a long pause silence on the breeze of the trees whistling .I stood there looking straight into Kyle's eyes trying so hard to read his emotions and miserably failing so hard
"It's okay if you don't feel comfortable around me, I'm so sorry " I said shaking my head and taking my leave before I felt a pair of hand holding my waist and pulling my back
"Id, I-d love for you to stay with me please" he pleaded still holding my waist and the sparks that were flying were electrifying , I don't know if it is my hormones but his touch just sent jolts flying inside of me
"Well..... I have to get packing then" I said slipping away and headed to my house. Once I was inside I felt a wave of relief, I really needed a fresh breeze maybe this is a good idea or a new location and better perspective. I went upstairs and to my room taking my travelling bag and packing my clothes and all the accessories I needed, I had a small amount of clothes because only a few fit me and I didn't bother buying new clothes whereas I outgrow them each month. 3 bags later I was already exhausted and laying on back on my bed until I heard a door knock. I hastily woke up and went down to see who it was, Kyle stood there with a smile
"I'm almost done, I have 3 bags packed and they are upstairs" I said leading him upstairs to collect the bag and sending them to the car, I packed two more bags while he prepared some sandwich for me after I was done I looked around the house to see if there is something I might be forgetting, I have already called Keera to ask her for advice so she gave me the go ahead to go there because maybe it's for the good, who knows
"So you ready?" Kyle said coming behind me . I looked around my house one more time until I went outside, I really need this, this house does not feel like my home anymore it is rather haunting than welcoming , I locked the door and left the house to get inside the car
"What about Hailey, I thought you are leaving with her?" I said looking at him while he reversed the car and heading straight to the road
"No, Hailey will be coming back tomorrow when schools opens" he said focusing on the road. I looked back once more before my house disappeared as we went further and further away from it, the car was silent but a comfortable silence with only soothing music resonating in the car. I was looking outside in my own thoughts , thinking about the future and how my unborn baby has affected our lives so greatly and not only us but a lot of people like Hailey, how will she react or feel when there is a new addition in her dads life, how will she handling the new baby, how will she treat me and the question that has been bothering me for months now is the relationship between me and Kyle will be like when the baby is born because he has been so caring and kind, he has become someone I can really count on for everything like my protector and giving me all the support I needed.
"Are you okay?" He asked all of a sudden with a look of concern on his face
"I'm great, don't worry" I smiled looking at him, one think I am sure of is that how he is going to love his child, but not sure about my relationship with him is going to be like
"We are home" He said stopping the car and preparing to go outside, I got off and looked at the mansion in front of me. Kyle's house looked so huge and yet homey and welcoming surrounded by natures beauty with trees surround and a range of colorful flowers all around the house
"I hope you still remember the house" he said entering with my bags and heading upstairs I trailed behind to see the room he was taking my bed
"You will sleep here then, I'll just come collect my clothes tomorrow for work" He said looking at me
"oh no you sleep I'm here,I'll sleep in the spare room" I said looking around the room , this is the same room we both slept and had a one night stand, It just awoke some memories that made me giggle-it's funny how one thing can change everything, who knew we would be here again but now with a baby on my belly
"Shhhh you are sleeping in here, no questions asked just make yourself comfortable "He said holding both my shoulders and looking deeply into my eyes. I smiled and he left me to collect some more bags. I took out my denim dress because I wanted to shower before anything else
"I'm taking a shower" I yelling loud enough for him to hear me then I went in to the bathroom deciding to take a bath rather than a shower. i took a long bath easing off my aching feet and back and closing my eyes to relax and enjoy the silence, once I was done I got and went downstairs to find Kyle slummed on the couch watch some game, he sat upright when he saw me and I joined him limping and wincing while walking because these feet were really swollen and painful same as my back. I sat on the same couch he was sitting watching whatever was playing until he picked both feet placing them on his legs and rubbing them
"Does this make them feel better?" he asked looking at me and continuing with the soothing
"I could get used to this "I said smiling and relaxing more, he just laughed and we sat there comfortably watching TV until I dozed off on the couch with his still doing wonders on my feet
