Jordan’s POVWhen I arrived home, it was already dark. To say I was tired was an understatement. I took a quick shower and threw myself on the bed. Today was exhausting, if having Kyle in the same class as me was horrible then having him as my dtudent was going to be worse. Surviving proved to be a mission because 5 minutes with him was torture as it is, more time only resulted in me wanting to strangle him. He kept asking me stupid questions like "Is this a 7 or a 2?" or "why does it have to be like this, give me a reason for your answer". Uhgg this boy just tries everything just to see the blood boil in my face. I turned on my radio and listen to some Coldplay to cool down my anger
"Coming For dinner?" Keera asked opening the door. I just sighed and followed behind her, I did not have an appetite because I was too tired, every muscle in my body was painful. I think that was due to a lack of sleep. I forced myself to eat just a little because I didn't want to disappoint Keera, she's been doing a lot to make the house feel a lot more like a home for me and also trying to play the part of mom and dad. That made me sad because she was no longer the old carefree Keera she used to be before the incident. She rapidly lost a lot of weight, not that she was fat before. She had the type of body every girl would die for but now you can see the rib bones sticking out. She is always pale and the bags under her eye just prove her fatigue.
"So how was school today, why did you come home late?", she asked just like mom always would. Poor Keera, she was trying to be like mom for me, she has been fighting for custody to be my guardian because I was almost taken to a foster home and so since she was 7 years older than me and was the only sibling I had, she fought off the social workers and my grandparents from taking me. Thinking about it makes me feel guilty because her life is held up by me , but all this will end in just a few months
"This was the worse day. At first I was sent to detention, now I have to tutor Kyle Mathews" I said to her while eating my meal.
"You were what?!" she shouts that made me startled a bit.
"I know right?? I mean who on earth doesn't know that I despise that boy, the principal just wants to make my two weeks in detention miserable"
"They sent to detention and you didn't even bother to tell me? What did you do?." She began yelling. Keera is the exact opposite of me, there is the sweet, caring type that cries off her pain, whereas I turn to violence whenever I don't like something.
"I did nothing Keera! Just pulled Ashley's hair extensions off." I said the last part in a whisper but she heard me.
"I can justify my actions! It was not my fault. I was demonstrating that these anger management classes do not work. I mean, I still have anger inside me and well Ashley was the closest object for me to release my anger on." I said defending myself.
"Jordan" Keera sighed. Oh boy, her comes the lecture about how much she loves me and I'm practically the only living family she has left. She doesn't know how annoying Ashley is. Someone had to do something and unfortunately I decided to take one for the team.
"Ok I get it. I'm suffering the consequences now aren't I? It's bad enough that I spent one hour at school being detained by the janitor and with Kyle" I said irritatingly.
"Good. Now finish up and head for bed, you look tired" She said.
"Ok Mother" I said rolling my eyes.
The next morning I was met by Evelyn's wide smile. Evelyn plus wide smile equals to disaster about to happen. That got me suspicious.
"What sup?" I said eyeing her suspiciously.
"Good Morning Jordan Carter and I'm well thank you for asking." She saisarcastically. I was not concerned by any of that. I wanted to know what was behind her mischievous smile.
