Where Love Meets.

Chapter Ten

Kyle’s POV

It was the morning of the reunion, I got up, took a shower and got dressed in some casual clothes, today was the weekend and I do not work on weekend, the weekend is always a time I spend with Hailey, Hailey is the love of my life, my princess I love her with all my heart, she is the only person I have since her mother left us. These pas years have been hard, with Hailey asking me where her mother is and why doesn’t she have mother, all the questions I can’t answer. I want to move on and find a mother for her but my heart still can’t believe she’s gone, I still believe that she will come back for me

 I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her, on weekends Sarah does not come, she knows that it is daddy-daughter day so no one usually disturbs or comes during the weekend but today I’m going to the event in the evening. I took out a pan and began making the pancake mix

 “Daddy?” She called standing at the door frame rubbing her eyes with her hair up and her favorite teddy bear in her hand

 “Morning Princess, come help daddy make pancakes”  I said calling her over and kissing her head when she was by my side

 “Today I want Blueberry Pancakes” she said excitedly

 “If its blueberry pancakes my princess needs, blueberry pancake she gates” I said bowing down as one of the servants in castles. She just laughed and we began doing he pancakes. It was evident that I was working with a 5 year old because of the mess on the floor and on top of the counter so I tidied up before eating meal. When I went to get my meal and began to eat Hailey went to the bathroom getting ready of her bath.

 I went in the bathroom to find her waiting for me to come bath her, I opened the tap for warm water and began pouring bath foam and began scrubbing her while  she laughed. Our tasks for today were going to the supermarket to get seed to plan flowers in the garden then layer to go feed the ducks. When she was all dressed and ready, we went to the store, bought lily and carnation seeds and when we got home we began planting

 After the planting was done we went to the park with a packet of bread crumbs and began throwing them in the pond. We took a while in the park because Hailey wanted to get on the swings and play hide-and-seek and play pretend princess in the castle and me as one of the Lady friend, sipping tea talking about the prince then I became a horse and carried her all around the park. Finally she was exhausted and I was relieved. I carried her to the car and she was already asleep. I drove her back home and laid her in her bed. I went to my room to check my phone because I did not want any phone calls during my day, I saw 15 missed all from Daniel and I groaned. I called him and he answered after the second ring

“I’m at the corner of the street, on my way there and hope you are already dressed ‘I looked at my outfit before hanging up. A few minutes later he came through the door and went upstairs to get into my room 

 “Dude, you have not even showered!” he exclaimed looking at me

“Shhhhh, not too loud Hailey is asleep’’ I whispered

“So hurry dude you know how long is Weston High from here?’’ he said leaving the room. I got into the bathroom and took a quick shower and went to where Daniel was

“Dude call Sarah to come over, I’m almost done’’ I said turning back to go to my room. I got dressed in my Armani charcoal grey tux with a black shirt. I ruffled my hair getting a messy look and went out. As I was about to go out, I went to check Hailey and went out of her room. When I got out of her room Sarah was already here.

“I have a meeting tomorrow at 6am so u might be asleep when I leave" she said and I just nodded at thanked her.

Daniel and I got in our own cars because he says he might get lucky and go home with someone, but we drove together with me behind him.

We got to the school half an hour later and we were a bit late

“if you would have gotten ready on time we would have been here already” he said coming towards me 

“I’m sorry Dan, I knew you wanted to open the doors here” I said rolling my eyes. We entered the place and was quite big, a looked at people there trying to find some familiar face but I could recognize only a few from the people there. 

“My, Look at the red head at the corner” Daniel suddenly said and I followed his gaze, and when I saw her my mouth went dry, just from the back you could see that this person was a beauty, there were other girls who were beautiful here but she stood out. She turned around and met my gaze 

“Wow” that was all I could say, I’ve never seen someone so beautiful her purple dress clung to her just perfect and she was just radiant

“You better hurry up and talk to her before someone else does” Daniel said and I stood shyly before approaching her.

''I have never seen you in one of my classes’’ I said coming towards her when her friend walked to the bathroom. She looked so pure and sweet even though she refused to give me her name .Her personality clicked with mine as we spoke because she has a sense of humor and her smile was beautiful. From that moment I kept my gaze on her the whole night when she was with her friend. She didn’t meet or socialize with anyone except the pregnant lady. When her friend left I got the opportunity to sit with her and only her. The whole night I spent night dancing and talking to her and honestly I didn’t want it any other way

We slow danced to one of my favorite song which was heart on fire by the passengers and I didn’t want this to end, her in my arms. The DJ stopped the music while and asked us to sit down. He then played the video we did when we were the last years in high school.  

''In Nine years time I would like have my own business and have about 10 kids'' the younger Kyle in the video said. I just laughed because I still wanted to do that , the spotlight shone at  me and I looked away shyly , the lady sitting next to me looked at me shocked with her mouth ajar, does she know me? 

In nine years to come I might be an ambassador for peace and activist against crime’’ said a voice I knew so well, the spunky girl appeared on the video, I wonder what ever happened to her I wondered, sure hope she wouldn’t have come. The light shone and the red head beauty next to me and froze “Jordan” I whispered .this girl, this girl .I’m falling for next to me was Jordan Carter, the girl I was in love with for most of my life.
