Catching up ( lex pov )

I got to know the boys really well, and I've only been staying with them for 2 days. I woke up and it was 6am, I walked upstairs to Ponyboy and Soda's room, I opened the door and found a sleeping Soda but Pony was no where to be found. I wonder where he was. I went outside for a smoke, the cigarettes pony gave me. "Hey Lex, what are you doing up so early?" I heard a familiar voice, I recognized it at Pony's he was on the roof of his house. "PONY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING, WHAT IF YOU FALL"? I screamed. "Don't worry darlin' I'll be fine." He said. I guess he was watching the sunrise, I was a little worried about him up there, but wait he called me darlin' oh my god!!!! he'd never like me though, how could he possibly like me, I like him, and I think I'm falling for him hard, I wish he'd like me back... I walked inside and found Two-bit, Johnny, Steve, Soda, and Dallas sitting on the couch eating chocolate cake and watching Mickey Mouse. "You guys are really eating chocolate cake in the morning, why are you guys up early anyways?" I laughed. "We can do whatever we want." Dallas said dangerously harsh. "Hey shut up dal, she was asking a harmless question." Soda stuck up for me. Two-bit chimed in and said "we usually all come over here early to get chocolate cake, just in case you haven't known, everyone loves chocolate in this house especially Ponyboy." "What about me?" Pony said as he walked in. "Oh nothin'.." Pony tackled Two-bit, "Damn kid, have you been working out lately." Two-bit said as he got defeated by a 14 year old boy. "Maybe." Pony whispered. "You tryna impress the little lady over there?" Soda chimed in. I looked at Pony and couldn't help but smile, he was blushing real hard. "Hey where's Darry?" I asked. "Work, why you needa know?" Dallas asked rudely. "Geez what the fuck is your problem Dallas, I have done nothing, you know what, sorry I met you guys I'm leaving." I yelled. "Lexi wait, please don't go" I hear pony say as I left the house. I didn't quite know where I was going but I had to get away I can't handle anyone being mean to me that's why if any little thing like that happens I'll break down. Why can't I ever be happy, am I gonna be miserable forever? I realized my feet brang me to my own house, and I checked if my parents were home and they weren't. "Thank god." I whispered to myself. I went up to the bathroom and took a short shower. When I got out I threw on some grey baggy sweatpants with Rolling Stones sweatshirt. I sat down and read a couple books for hours. I realized it was 5:34pm, I wanted something to eat, so I grabbed some money out of the jar in my room and headed out of the door. Dairy Queen was only a 5 minute walk from my house, "Crap." I whispered to myself. I forgot my blade, I'm supposed to always carry my blade around just in case some big time Socs decide to pull up and jump me. I spotted a red mustang a couple blocks away and I began to walk a little faster. Dairy Queen was right there so I ran into the doors and sat down to catch my breath. The mustang passed DQ and I felt a wash of relief come over my body. I looked around DQ, there wasn't really anyone there but there was this one girl, she looked about my age and she was a tad bit taller than me she was very pretty, she had blonde hair and greenish-blue eyes like me but mine were more greener. She had a very pretty face, she had light freckles over her nose and she seemed very sweet. She noticed me staring and I looked away. "Hey, no need to be shy." She said directly to me. "Sorry I was staring I didn't- she cut me off by saying "it's okay, my name is hailee what's yours?" She said pretty excitedly. "My name is Lex." I said nervously. I had really no friends except Ponyboy and Two-bit and Johnny plus Soda, the rest really didn't like me I'm guessing. "Your really pretty, wanna be friends." She asked. "Sure!" I said excitedly. Hailee was really sweet, I thought about Johnny when I saw her, they'd look perfect together, maybe I should introduce them. We ordered our food and sat together and talked a lot, we basically got to know eachother in like 2 hours. I learned she was a greaser, and her past is just as dark as mine, she had gotten beat by her parents too and the Socs almost raped her, but she currently lived at her friend Cherry Valance's house. Cherry was a Soc, but Hailee and Cherry grew up together, so they were friends. We walked out of DQ laughing about random things that we saw. "Hey, I want you to meet someone I think you'll like him." I said. she nodded and we headed to the Curtis house. I missed Ponyboy surprisingly, yup I definitely have feelings for that boy, and I like it.
