Finally Happy ( Ponyboy Curtis love story)

Fun fun fun {Lex POV}

It's been a week since Mya's mom passed away. I feel really bad for her, but she has gotten way better. Dal and her are a couple now, and I bet that makes her the happiest person alive!

"Mornin' Lex." I heard Pony's raspy voice. "Hey cutie." I kissed his lips. "You still haven't got caught yet?" I asked. "Nope, Darry will never figure out, besides he's always workin." He laughed. I giggled because his laugh makes me so happy. "I love you so much Ponyboy." I told him. He smiled really widely and it showed his beautiful dimples. "I love you more than you'd ever think." He pulled me into a kiss. I kissed him back, and then got outta bed. "Nooooooo don't leave." Pony whined. I laughed and left the room while he was fake crying.

Everyone was still asleep, so I checked the time. It was 6:12am, figures. I have a plan. I'm going to wake up the girls and we're gonna have a fun day, just going out to eat, look at clothes, etc. We will be safe though. I walked back up to my room to tell Pony. "I knew you'd come back." He cocked an eyebrow. "Shut it." I laughed. He had no shirt on, like always, and it's really hot. "Whatcha want Lex?" He asked sweetly. "Well, the girls and I are gonna go out, just us 3, yes we'll bring a blade, we'll be fine." I said. "Baby, I don't like this idea, please please be safer than ever." He pleaded. I nodded and kissed him, he picked me up and hugged me tightly. "Im gonna go wake the girls up, maybe Dal, Johnny, and you should go hang or something." I mentioned. "Sounds good." He put me down and I left the room to go wake up Hailee.

I entered Hailee's room, to find them making out. "Oopsy." I laughed. "LEX CMON." Johnny joked. "It's okay, whatcha want greaser?" Hailee laughed. "We're all gonna hang today, me you and Mya, we'll be safe, and Johnny I think Pony and Dal wanna hang with you today." I told them. "Get up bum, and get ready." I told Hailee. She laughed and I shut the door.

I went downstairs and Mya was already up with Dal. "Hey lovebirds." I sing-songed. "Hellooooo." Mya chorused. "Get up and get ready, Hailee, You, and I are gonna have fun today!" I exclaimed. "Yay, I love you Dal, I'll be back later." She told him, he looked really worried so he kissed her and she went to go get dressed.

I hope today goes smoothly, because Tulsa is usually a bad place to just 'hang.' Hopefully the Socs decide to stay in their territory, just for one day.

(Pony's POV)

The girls left, I really do hope they're safe. "Wanna go to the drive in and watch a movie?" I asked Johnny and Dal. "Sure." They both answered. We raced eachother all the way to the drive in and sneaked in. We sat in the very front row. "What's this movie about?" Johnny asked. "I dunno, one of those beach movies." Dal replied. We all sat down and relaxed while watching the movie, even though I didn't pay attention to the movie, I was thinking a lot. I've noticed that I've been really protective over Lexi, and that people say I'm a 'bad boy' now. I don't think I really am, I'd be a lousy bad boy, I still watch the beautiful sunsets, and read, draw, I rarely cuss, yup I'm still soft. I doubt I'll ever get tough like Dally, and I don't want to. "Hey pony, you ok?" Johnny asked. "Yeah, just thinking." I said absent minded. We watched the rest of the movie and finally decided to head home, what else was there to do anyway? I'm gonna go up to my room and read a couple of books, and think about Lexi, like always.

(Johnny's POV)

As soon as we got home, I left again by myself, I went to my old house to grab some clothes and my jean jacket that was washed. I arrived and my parents were home. "Great." I muttered under my breath. I decided to go in through my window, so I went in and grabbed my stuff and ran back to Pony's, close call. I went to go take a shower, I started the hot water and got in. I wonder what Hailee is doing right now, hopefully she's safe.

I got out of the shower and threw on my clean clothes. I went downstairs to find Two-bit, Soda, and Steve. "Hey guys, where's Dal?" I asked. "Went to go get a pack of cigarettes." Steve answered. I nodded and sat down on the couch. Two-bit and Steve were wrestling on the floor and Soda was making lunch. "Hey Johnny, where's pony?" Soda asked. "Upstairs, reading." I answered tiredly. That hot water made me tired, I'm gonna lay down on the couch and hopefully when I wake up I'll see Hailee beautiful face.

(Lex's POV)

Today was going really well, it's been very fun. "Hey, we should really head back now." Hailee said. "Why?" I whined. "Because, I miss Johnny, and I know you two miss Pony and Dal." She looked at Mya and me. "We do, but we've been having fun." Mya whined. "Come on you Debbie downer." I said playfully. "Shut it." She slapped me playfully on the arm. "Let's go do one more thing." I said. "What else could we possibly do?" Hailee and Mya asked. I laughed evily. They looked at me and laughed. "Let's TP people's houses." I laughed. It was around 4:30 and it was about to get dark around 5, we'll get home around 5:15. "Fine, lets grab toilet paper, I'll race ya." Mya said while running away. "I'll beat you all." I said as I caught up. We arrived at the convenient store and I won the race. "Ha in your face." I laughed at both of them. "Shut up." Hailee laughed. "Grab the toilet paper." I whispered to Mya knowing we could get in big trouble with the fuzz for doing this.  We grabbed a whole lot of TP and payed for it. We ran to the Soc territory, trying to be safe. "Looks like they ain't out." Mya whispered. We each grabbed toilet paper and TP'd their trees and houses and even their cars. "This street is a mess." I laughed. I saw a car coming down the street so we all took cover in some bushes. The car passed and we raced eachother home. Boy that was fun and adrenaline boosting.

(Pony's POV)

It's already 5:20pm, wow I've been reading for quite a while. I closed my book and walked downstairs, everyone was there except for the girls of course. "Hey Ponyboy." Two-bit said to me. "Hey." I answered. He looked away and watched Mickey on the Tv. None of the guys looked at me. "Hey dal, got a weed?" I asked. "Yeah, here." He handed me a smoke and I walked outside to smoke. I looked down the street and saw Lex running and Mya and Hailee behind her. They were racing and my girlfriend was in the lead. I couldn't help but laugh, I know I could beat her in a race, I run track. She ran fast and noticed me and jumped into my arms knocking down my cigarette. "Oops, sorry pony." She laughed out of breath. Mya and Hailee finally arrived. "Slow pokes." Lex said as she was in my arms, like a baby. "You sure are fast, but you can't beat me." I winked at her. She blushed, of course. "I challenge you." She said. "When and where." I laughed, she sure is cute. "Right here, right now." She basically jumped out of my narms. Hailee and Mya went inside to get the whole gang. They all came outside and cheered us on. "Lex, Pony is go beat you, give up." Soda bragged. "Shut up soda, you don't know." She muttered. "You ready beautiful?" I asked trying to be sweet because I know how I make her feel. "Yes." She looked determined. Darry stood in between us while we got in our running stances, "race all the way down the road and back, no cheating." Darry said. Lex laughed and nodded. "On your mark, get set GO!" Darry yelled. I took off leaving Lexi behind, but surely she caught up. "Eat my dust!" Lex yelled. She ran in front of me and she was now in the lead, but not for long. "Sure baby, but you gotta eat mine first haha!" I yelled, I took off and ran to 'the finish line.' She was shortly behind me but I won. "Told you I'd win." I Said as she arrived. "Oh hush up." She said breathless. I kissed her and she kissed back. "Let's play some football." Dally suggested. We all got on teams and played. I was on Darry's team with Hailee, Johnny, Lex, and Two-bit. Of course our team won because of Darry.

We all went inside tired and wore out. The guys left and Lex went up to our room to sleep, I keep forgetting I'm not allowed to sleep with her right now, I have to wait until Darry lies down. It was 9:15pm after all, Johnny and Hailee were already going to bed, and Dal and Mya were laying down. "I'm going to bed little buddy." I heard Darry tell soda. "Goodnight Darry." I told him. "Night." He said as he walked into his room.

I tiptoed up stairs and entered my room. Lex was already passed out. She's so beautiful when she's sleeping, she looks younger and innocent. I got in bed with her and wrapped my arms around her and kissed her forehead, "i love you." I whispered. Today was by far a fantastic day, no drama or danger, just good. I hope everyday is gonna be like this. I drifted off to sleep hoping to dream about Lex and I.
