Sore ( lexi's POV )

I woke up the next morning bruised, sore, and bloody. I guessed it was around 6am because the sun was just rising. I looked around and saw a boy around my age, he was very handsome and had a good build for his size, he was sitting on the hard ground a couple of feet away from me watching the sun rise. Greasers never watch the Sunrise or Sunset because they're too busy being tough, I wondered about this very hot and strange boy who hasn't noticed me yet. He finally looked away from the sunrise and looked straight at me with a worried look on his handsome face. "Hey, oh my glory, are you okay?" He questioned. "Ah yeah don't worry about me, I'll be fine within the next few days." I said sadly. "It doesn't look like it, if you came to my house my older brother Darry could fix you up." he exclaimed. why is he trying to be nice to me, I'm horrifyingly ugly I can't believe he's talking to me right now. "Uhh are you sure, I don't even know your name and your inviting me over?" I laughed a little. "Your a beautiful girl, and you seem nice, why wouldn't I invite you over." He winked. "Oh and my name is Ponyboy Curtis." I looked away and blushed because he just called me beautiful... No one has ever said those words to me before. "C'mon lets go fix you up, oh and there might be a couple more people at my house, don't mind them, they can be very rude sometimes, but I have a feeling they'll like you." Ponyboy said excitedly. We walked in silence all the way to Ponyboy's house. We entered his house and there were 6 boys that looked quite a bit older than me. Oh great, they're all staring at me, I hate attention and especially from very good looking boys. "Hey guys, I'm going to introduce you to my friend, oh sorry I haven't quite gotten your name." Pony mentioned. "Oh sorry um, My name is Lexi King, but you can call me Lex for short." I spoke shyly. Ponyboy introduced me to all of the guys, Sodapop was his older brother and he was very tall and very very good-looking, he legit looked like a movie star and he was quite nice to me, Darry, Pony's other older brother was handsome and very tall, I could tell he was like a dad to the whole Gang and everyone respected him. Next is Two-Bit, I could tell he was the joker of the gang and everyone liked him, he was tall and had a good build, Dallas Winston, I already knew him, who wouldn't? He's the most dangerous greaser in Tulsa, and I have to admit he's not as scary as he sounds. There were two others Johnny and Steve, Johnny was very good-looking like the others but he had a scared look in his eyes and I felt a connection with him, he seems like he's going through the same thing I am, but he isn't my type. Steve is tall and he's very funny and outgoing, I'm guessing Soda and Him are best friends, these guys seem very nice right now but who knows? "Golly, what happened to you, did the Socs decide to hurt a beautiful little lady like you?" Sodapop said as he examined me. I blushed because then again I was called beautiful twice in one day! "Um no, my parents did.." I looked down. Soda just gave me a I'm sorry look and sat down on the couch. The guys are awful quiet right now, I guess they're examining me trying to decide if they like me or not, if they don't, who would blame them? No one likes me. "Darry, I think she needs some bandages, can you help her?" Ponyboy asked. "Sure come here kid, sit on this chair while I fix you up." Darry instructed. when Darry finished fixing me up I sat up and began to leave "Thank you Darry, and thanks Ponyboy for bringing me here, sorry for um disturbing you guys." "Wait, where are you going?" All of the guys asked. "I was leaving, I didn't want to disturb you guys, sorry." I said sadly. Ponyboy looked at me with an amused look. "Don't leave, you can stay here and call this your home, we all obviously like you lex." They like me? I felt my heart beat rapidly as Ponyboy grabbed my hand and pleaded me not to leave. "Fine I'll stay, I want to get to know you guys better anyway." I said excitedly. For the first time in my life I feel happiness. I could get used to this feeling.
