Rule breaker (Pony's POV)

It was already around 5:30 when I got home, so the sun was setting. I walked to the park and watched the beautiful sunset. I can't sleep without her! She keeps the nightmares away from me, why does Darry make things harder for everyone? As soon as it got dark I left the park and walked to buy some food, I decided to get lex some food too.

I walked to DQ and ordered some burgers for Johnny, Lex, and Hailee, and Mya. I ran home so the food wouldn't get cold.
I walked in and it was around 7:15pm Hailee and Johnny and Mya were home, Darry and soda were sleeping. "Hey I got you guys food, where's Lexi?" I asked. "She's up stairs I think." Hailee answered. "You think?" I rolled my eyes and went upstairs. I opened the door to my room and I didn't see Lexi. I ran down stairs panicking. "Where is she?!" I yelled. I looked everywhere. "Why aren't you guys worried about her she could b-  "BOO" I heard Lexi say. "AHH" I screamed. Everyone started to laugh really hard. I grabbed her and hugged her. "Don't you do that Lexi Marie King." I looked at her playfully. She smiled goofily and laughed. "I got you some food, eat up." I told her. She nodded and began eating. "When you're done Come up to my room, I have to talk to you." I said sadly. "O-okay." She said worriedly. I grabbed my burger and went up to my room, I hope she doesn't cry..

I was laying on my bed and my bedroom door opened, it was Lexi.
"Hey Pone." She smiled. "Hey beautiful." I replied. "I have to talk to you, you may not like this and it's all my fault." I looked down. "What is it?" She asked. "I can't sleep with you, for about two weeks, it's my punishment for going to jail." I said, trying not to look at her. "But, you just got back." I could hear the hurt in her voice. "I'm gonna have nightmares, they've gotten worse." She told me. "Mine did too." I sighed. "P-please stay with me p-please." She cried. "I..i" I stuttered. "I love you, look just try to sleep okay." I told her. "Okay." She sobbed. I grabbed her and held her in my arms for about two hours. It was 9:50 now. I rocked her to sleep. I kissed her cheek and layed her in bed. "I love you." I whispered as I left the room. I walked downstairs and Mya was trying to sleep on the couch. "I guess I sleep out here now for a while." I said to her. She laughed. "Okay Ponyboy." She said tiredly. I drifted off to sleep, hoping I don't have a nightmare...

(Lex POV)

"GET OFF OF ME NOW." I screamed as I woke up from my nightmare. I heard someone coming from across the hallway, they entered and it was Johnny. "Sorry I woke you." I said. "It's okay, just checking on you." He told me. "Johnny, I need Ponyboy." I said sadly. "I know, look it's 1 in the morning, try to sleep lex okay?" Johnny spoke quietly. "Sure." I said as he shut the door. I fell asleep.

(Pony's POV)

It was 3 in the morning and I heard Lexi screaming and crying, it's another nightmare. Johnny was just about to go in there but I stopped him. "This is her second one tonight." Johnny told me. The second one? She really needs me. "Go to sleep Johnny, I'll get her." I told him. He nodded and I walked in the room. Lex was holding her knees she was wide awake. "Stay with me." She told me. "I will." I kissed her forehead and  layed with her. We both drifted off to sleep, having the best slumber in a while. I didn't care if Darry caught me, she needs me and it's my priority to protect her with  everything I have. I do love her after all.

(Hailee's POV)

I heard Lexi have nightmares all night, until of course pony went in there to sleep with her, what a rule breaker. I was laying in bed with Johnny and it was four in the morning. We were both awake. He grabbed my waist and I got butterflies in my stomach. "Don't tell Mya but Dally is getting outta the cooler tomorrow." Johnny said sleepily. "Yay, she's gonna be happy!" I whisper yelled. He laughed. Gosh I love his laugh. "I love you." I told him. "I love you too." I faced him and gave him a kiss, "get to bed Johnny cake." I told him. "I gladly will." He laughed, he fell asleep right after he said that. I can't wait to see Mya's face when she sees Dally tomorrow, he sure does make her happy.
