Anniversary ( Pony's POV )

Today was finally the day I celebrate the love of my life. I already had the whole day planned out. I woke up early to get her favorite flowers, daisies. I decided to do something extra cheesy, but I know she'll love. I bought all real flowers except for the one in the middle. I'm going to tell lex "I will love you until the last flower dies." clever idea huh?

2 hours later.

It's around 10am and Lexi is sleeping, I'm going to give her as much time as she needs. "Hey, I'll be at the lot, today is lex and I's anniversary." I told the gang of course. They shook their heads and I grabbed a variety of things, including the necklace. I ran to the lot (the very first place we met). I set a blanket on the ground and set up our 'date.' she sure is gonna be happy.

(Lex's POV)

It's 10:30am, pony isn't here, I wonder where he is, I frowned. I'm super happy today, it's our anniversary, 2 whole months with the best boyfriend in the world. I didn't walk downstairs yet, I wanted to get ready first. I decided to wear something nice out of my wardrobe, maybe a plain purple t-shirt with pale blue skinny jeans and white vans. I nodded and put it on. My hair was slightly curly so I decided to pin my side bangs out of my face. I looked in the mirror and smiled. I couldn't way to see him. I grabbed my leather jacket and pony's present and walked downstairs to find Dally and no one else. "Hey dal." I smiled. "Hey lex." He slightly smiled. "Ponyboy is in the lot by the way." He winked. I laughed and nodded, heading out of the door.

I arrived at the lot and found Ponyboy looking at the sky with flowers and a picnic next to him. I smiled at his cuteness. "Hey greaser." I smirked and he looked at me and smiled goofily like he always does. "Hey little lady." He said sarcastically as he stood up. He pulled me close to him and smiled. "You look so handsome as always." I said, admiring his lovely face. He blushed wildly and grabbed my face and pulled me into a kiss, this kiss was long and passionate, filled with love and lust, I kissed him back with more love and passion. He ended the kiss and smiled at me. "I love you so much Ponyboy Curtis." I told him. "I love you too princess." he said as we both sat down. I blushed wildly and he laughed at me. I glanced at the flowers and smiled, "wonder who these are for." Ponyboy said as he looked around. "Oh yeah! They're for the most important girl in my life, duh." He said trying to act silly. I laughed hysterically and he handed me the flowers, they're my favorite, daisies. "I shall love you until the last flower dies." Ponyboy admired my face, a tear fell down my face in happiness, he's meaning he'll love me forever because the flower in the middle is fake, what a cheesy boy. I smiled as I cried. "Oh Ponyboy." I hugged him again. His hands wrapped around my small waist and I kissed him on the cheek. I decided this was the perfect time to give him my gift. I pulled out the necklace and he glanced at me and the box. His eyes lit up as I handed it to him. "To you from me, Ponyboy, words can't explain how happy you make me, I know we will last forever, my love for you will never die. Thank you for being mine." I said as he opened it. "Forever and always." He mimicked the words on the necklace. "I'll never take it off." He smiled. I laughed and kissed his cheek. He is such a blessing, and I'm glad he's mine.

(Pony's POV)

The necklace she gave me was perfect, I'll literally never take it off. I grabbed the jewelry box out of my pocket and handed it to her. She looked as surprised as I did. She opened the box. She gasped, "I love it so much Ponyboy, and as you said, I'll never take it off, no matter what." She smiled. I helped her put it on. "What's to eat?" She laughed. "Well, look in the basket, you greaser." I cackled. She opened the basket and grabbed a sandwich as well as chips, I did the same. "Awe, it's my favorite." She blushed. "You really do know me, maybe you know me more than I know myself." She giggled. "I do." I blushed. She laughed as she ate her sandwich. "Wow, how long have we been out here." I asked. "I dunno, woah, is the sun really about to set?" Lexi said confused. "I guess so, perfect timing." I smirked. I lied down on the blanket and lex layed on my chest. This is the most perfect day, I hope nothing goes wrong. We watched the sunset and now it was dark. We were beginning to pack up when a black, tuff, mustang pulled up. Oh great. It was some unfamiliar socs, we'd never seen before. "Stay behind me, if it gets too bad run home, don't worry about me." I told her and I grabbed her hand and she stood behind me. "I'm not leaving you." She whispered. Why is she so stubborn at times?!

"Hey greasers, looks like you need a little 'cut' off the top." They laughed. There was only 3 of them. "Leave us alone will ya, you're out of your territory." I spat. "Oh shut it greaser." he disputed. The blonde headed Soc looked behind me and tried to grab Lexi but I pushed him back. "Don't touch her!" I yelled. I could feel lex starting to sob. Damnit Ponyboy, you better protect her this time, I said to myself. The Socs grabbed me but I held them back. They started punching me and the finally got me in the ground. "RUN LEXI." I screamed. Her being her, she didn't. She tried to get involved but one of the Socs grabbed her and slammed her on the ground. "LEAVE HER ALONE." I cried. Tears flooded down my face. I failed once again. Everything went black..

(Lex's POV)

"RUN LEXI." Ponyboy screamed at me. I didn't want to leave him behind, he was my boyfriend, I just couldn't. I jumped on a Soc but my plan backfired and he slammed he on the ground hardly. The breath got knocked out of me. I couldn't get up. I tried once again. I felt my back pocket and found my switch blade. "GET OFF OF HIM." I threatened. They stopped and all looked at me. I was trembling in fear. They all laughed. Ponyboy was knocked out cold. I sobbed at the sight of him, he was beaten to a pulp. "I swear to god I will kill you!" I threatened again. "Do it then, you little bitch." The blonde one spat. I looked at Ponyboy, it's all my fault. "I'm sorry." I whispered to myself. I dropped the knife and the blonde Soc socked me in the face one time and I got knocked out cold. I knew the good things weren't going to last long...
