Epilogue.
Surprisingly, everything worked out just fine.
Malina, my younger sister, forgave me. We became quite close after the Games finished for good.
The Games are officially over, Shauna Horan and the rest of the new Capitol Government decided that we should have one remembrance day a year, so we can remember that we now have celebrities who have the freedom to marry who they choose, when they choose.
But the games actually worked out nicely for some people...
Ashton began to date my close friend Lucy Morris, they became inseparable.
Calum started spending a lot more time with Bekka Hanai.
It also worked out for Michael, who became pretty friendly with Belle Nolee.
As for Jimmy, well...He's now dating Melissa Whitehouse, the other Tribute competing for Ashton. Guess it works out for everybody.
Dale...Well, he found his happily ever after too.
Hannah Bale, from District O, ran into him when she was down visiting me a few days after everything had cleared up. They got talking and well...They're constantly together now.
I'm just relieved that everything ended the way it did.
And as for me...Well, my life has cleaned itself up pretty well.
~A few years later~
Well, guess who's not Seventeen anymore?
Yeah, in all seriousness, it's been a few years, I just turned Twenty-Three the other day.
Yikes.
I'M GETTING OLD.
And I'm stressed, like freaking out and about to faint stressed.
"It's finally here!" Bekka screams, entering my bedroom.
Well, my new bedroom, in the Capitol.
I live here now. It's actually a gorgeous place, and now that the country is in good shape again, I'm not going to have to worry about getting killed when I step out on the streets here.
I turn from my full length mirror and smile as Bekka holds a garment bag out to me, Etsy and my old stylist team walk in behind her.
"Finished it last night!" Etsy exclaims.
"Thank you so much, I'm sure it was a lot of work." I beam, as Bekka helps Etsy take my custom gown out of its garment bag.
After all of the dresses and gowns I had to wear for the Games and the galas, charity functions and other events I've had to go to after them...You'd think that there would be no way to top them.
But Etsy has.
Because the dress that comes out of the garment bag is perfect.
From its long floaty sleeves and Chantilly lace neckline and bodice, to the baby doll design and floaty chiffon and silk skirt that will fall just above my knees...
I'm in love with it. This pure white piece of art.
It's simple, yet complex, but it's me.
"I love it!" I scream, engulfing Etsy in a hug.
She laughs, "Thank goodness! I was worried..."
I roll my eyes, "Oh shush!""Now, let's get you ready to go!" Pepsi remarks, holding up a large blush brush.
