When Remus and Sirius woke the next morning, I was sitting up and staring at the opposite wall.

Apparently, though, this scared the two, because they both started panicking which caused me to jump a half-mile in the air.

"Bloody-" I shrieked as Remus and Sirius both screamed "SARAH!"

"Are you okay?" Remus asked, rushing over.

"Yes, I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, going back to staring at the wall.

"You're spacing out and drenched in sweat," Sirius told me.

"Am I?" I asked, not really paying attention.

At that moment, Madame Pomfrey came in the room.

"Oh, thank Merlin," Sirius said. "Help us."

"What?" She asked, sounding confused.

"Just look at her!" He cried. "She's staring at a wall, soaked to the bone in sweat!"

Madame Pomfrey hurried over and began checking me over. I ignored her, still thinking of my nightmares and doubting my abilities to compete.

In the end, she waved her wand over me.

"Nothing I can find..." She muttered to herself, reading a slip of paper. "There seems to be nothing wrong. She's just distracted, and not that I can blame her."

"Told you," I muttered, and Remus came over.

"Is there anything we can do to help you get things off your mind?" He asked.

"No," I mumbled honestly. All he, Sirius, or even Madame Pomfrey would do was tell me I was wrong and that I could do it.

His eyes searched my face in worry. "Are you sure?"

I nodded, then got off the bed. "I'm going to go change," I told them, then left for the door.

They all went to stop me, but I was gone before anyone could say anything.

The halls were empty, something I didn't mind in the slightest. The laughter of the others wasn't something I was sure I could handle at the moment.

I made my way slowly to the Common Room, never running into another soul-and I mean that literally, because I didn't even meet a ghost.

I made it quickly into the Common Room and then my dorm, where I crawled into my bed as quietly as possible.

It proved, however, not to be quiet enough as Hermione shot up and looked over a minute later.

"Sarah!" She cried quietly.

"Hullo," I whispered.

"Where were you?" She asked.

"Hospital Wing," I told her simply. "I'm going back to bed, Hermione. You should as well." I rolled over so my back was too her.

"Sarah?" She asked cautiously, sounding hurt. "Ha-have I done something?"

"No, 'Mione," I told her softly, "I'm just...tired and confused and not entirely here at the moment."

She was silent for a minute, then said "I understand. I'm worried for you is all."

I smiled softly into the darkness. "Thanks, 'Mione. You know I think of you, Morgana, and Crystal like sisters, right?"

"Yeah," she whispered. "I think the same. G'night Sarah."

"Night 'Mione," I told her.

I heard her shift around, then listened as her breathing changed as she fell asleep.

I spent the rest of the night listening to my dorm mates' breathing and imagining the first Task.
