I was running but from what I did not know. My feet pounded again the ground and darkness enveloped the land. I stopped breathing heavy. I knew whatever it was I would have to fight it. Something knocked me to my knees. I tried to rise but another blow struck, sending me back into the dust. Every attempt was promptly thwarted by the adversary I could not see, but now knew its name. My screams rang out but no one heard. I tried to reach, but was hidden amid the shadows. the faceless not valiantly, but painfully and cowardly.
