From the shadows we watched silently. Unspoken words passed between us in the still air of the night. I drew my bow string back and notched my arrow as it were instinct. With my next breath, I released the arrow. It found its mark with deadly precision. A cold voice broke from the shadows. "It seems you haven't changed." The voice called out. I left my bow and stepped into the moonlight. "No I haven't. At least not my fighting skills." I said looking at the ominous figure before me. In another moment I saw his sword glistening in the moonlight. My own hand dropped to my sword and blocked his first strike. I fought him back in the moonlight until we stood at a draw we had both seen before. Sword neck-to-neck we stood, one move and we both die. I dropped my sword and grabbed my dagger. He hadn't realized what had happened until the metal of my blade me his chest. "You have bested me. Congratulation, you finally killed the man who took everything away from you." he said dying. "Yet I must- congratulations- must...you killed me long ago." I said stuttering over my words. I had realized who it was. It was my own brother. I stepped back away from his body and rand from the spot. Leaving everything behind, they would track me and my fate would be the same.
