An autumn breeze filled the night. The moon shone brightly across the sky. His fingers intertwined with my own. We walked deeper into the forest. Laughing and being free from the life we knew. "Must we go back?" I asked. A laugh escaped him. "Yes we must." his strong arms wrapped around me. A smile crossed my face. That moment would resonate many times. This place was our escape, our freedom. We were free to be who we wanted to be, free to say what we wanted. The freedom we never found elsewhere was found here. The lives we longed for we were free to dream. confiding in each other, we found our freedom. Thoughts that held us in chains, he had broken. He aided in my fight to break my own. Worth not placed in a person, but to fight alone is worse. Both of us knew the fight and both were fighting it off.
