The sun shines brightly through the cracked window as I wake. I roll over in my bed and try to fall back into my slumber. With no luck I sit up and slowly rise from the bed. I've never been a morning person. I walk out into the hall and move down the stairs while rubbing my eyes; still trying to fully wake up. As I enter the kitchen I see a note on the fridge,

        Hey darling!

I went out for breakfest with Charlie, I'm not sure

when I'll be home. Call me if you need anything!

I roll my eyes and rip up the paper. I actually was surprised she was still up to her old ways; leaving with whatever boyfriend she had at the moment. I shake the memories out of my mind while strolling to the couch; phone and yogurt in hand. Right as I flick on the television, my phone rings loudly. I look down to see an unfamiliar phone number.

        "Hello?" I ask confusingly.

"Hey! How's it going?" the person, who I assume to be a male, replies.

"Who is this and how do you know my phone number?" I ordered. I hear a muffled laugh,

"Woah calm down, it's the 'Tomo'. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today? You know, like normal best friends do." He added. I smiled, a little relieved for no reason.

"Well first, sense when are we best friends?" I asked.

"Let me see," I already knew where this was going. "It was around age six, I remember taking the last blue lollipop at the school fair. As I began opening it, I hear a scream and I'm suddenly tackled to the ground." He went on, "All I hear is 'I was going to get this one!' and a brown haired girl with pig-tails rips the lollipop right from my hands."

"Louis that was forever ago! I-" I tried squeezing in, yet he cut me off.

"She starts opening it, and as she is going to put it in her mouth, I push her off me. While on the ground, the blue lollipop is now covered in brown dirt, and grass." He states, I grin. "The poor girl starts crying because the lollipop is now 'yucky and dirty'." He quotes. "Being the charming, handsome, young man I was, I wipe and lick all the dirt off before handing it to the girl, just for her to stop crying." I laugh loudly as he continues, "And that, is how Katheryn Bay and Louis Tomlinson became best friends." I cringe when he uses my full name.

"Okay Lou, no need for the whole background story. But sure I'll hangout, what do you want to do?" I ask as I finish up my yogurt and throw it into the trash can.

"I was thinking we could go to the old river?" He questions.

"Louis, it's freezing outside. I'm sure the water will give me hypothermia." I state as I head up to my room.

"Well we wouldn't go in the water! We'd just walk around." He sasses. I smirk,

"Okay, sorry 'mr. know-it-all'. Pick me up in a hour?" I could imagine the smile plastered on his face,

"I'll be there." He says before I end the call. I grab some clothes from my suitcase and hop in the shower, letting the warm water run over me, and breathe in the steam.

Once I finished I changed into this. I heard a loud pound at the door, and scurried down the stairs. I walked to the door,

"Who is it?" I ask jokingly.

"The rapist down the street; Let me in!" He shouts. I laugh and open the door only to have my heart rate pick up. Louis's eyes seemed brighter than last night, and his smile gave me butterflies.
