It was Saturday morning and I woke extra early to shower and get ready. Harry had called last Wednesday and said he needed to talk to me in person, him and the rest of One Direction arrived to California yesterday. They went to Los Angeles first and performed there last night. They would be arriving to San Diego today, which was only an hour and a half away from me, where they would be getting two days break to see the city.

I pulled on a white tank top with a blue high waist skirt. I was combing through my tangled brown curls when Harry texted me saying he was in a cab on his way to my house. Luckily my dad had to take an early shift at work today and wouldn't be back until later tonight. I didn't want him to be home when Harry came, I didn't want him to think I had a thing with yet another member of One Direction; because I didn't. My heart still belonged to Louis, and I truly didn't know if that would ever change.

I don't think anyone could ever replace Louis. Nothing could compare to his ocean blue eyes, or adorable laugh, let alone his hilarious sense of humor, and his sweet romantic side. No one could ever make me feel the way Louis did; he constantly had my heart racing and with each touch of his, my body would spring with goosebumps. I could never forget Louis; I love him.

I sat on the couch and waited. A bowl of cereal and three episodes of The Office later, and there was a knock at my door. I rushed to it and quickly opened it, only to be greeted by a smiling Harry. I pulled him in the house and shut the door before I gave him a hug.

"How are you!?" I asked, excited to see my friend. Harry smiled,

"I'm good, we miss you so much." He said, pulling me into another hug. I smiled into his shirt,

"I miss you guys too," I said, squeezing him once more before escorting him to the kitchen for some lemonade. We then walked outside and sat by the pool in my dad's backyard. We rested our feet in the warm water as the hot wind blew our hair around. The sun was high in the sky and the day was beautiful.

"So how's your tour going?" I asked, pushing my hair out of my face.

"Good. The fans are wild, but it's really fun," He explained. I nodded,

"How's Louis?" I blurted. I couldn't help it, I was trying to hold back talking about him, but I needed to know how he was doing.

"Uhm... Not so good." He said, looking down into the pool. I kicked my feet a little, making the water ripple as he continued, "That's actually why I needed to talk to you." I turned to look at him; he was already staring at me. "Why did you leave at the airport?" He asked. I squinted my eyes from the harsh sun and ripped from Harry's gaze,

"I- I don't know.." I tried. He furrowed his brows. "I was just surprised that he would pick his job over me..."

"He was trying to protect you." Harry pressed.

"That's what he said. I don't understand though," I began, "Trying to protect me from what? Or who?" I asked, truly confused. Harry sighed, rolling up his pant legs more so they wouldn't get wet.

"Katie, our management isn't always what they seem. Yes, they're great, and they got us to where we are today; but if certain things don't go their way then they take extreme actions." He explained.

"I don't understand," I said, "What did they want Louis to do?"

"They wanted him to break up with you and go back to Eleanor."

        "But why?" I asked.

"Because they thought that being with you, would make it seem like he went from girl to girl, and apparently thats "my thing." He said, using his fingers as quotes around the words 'my thing.' I felt bad for him, but I still had more questions.

"So what.. what were they going to do if Louis didn't break up with me?" Harry pushed his curly hair out of his eyes,

"They wanted to put out in the media that you used Louis for his money and broke his heart. They were going to make everyone in the public hate you." He stated. My heart immediately sank, making my stomach drop and my face flush it's color.

"I have to go and talk to him." I said, standing up. Harry stood and grabbed my hand,

"Wait," He said, "I have a plan."

"A plan?" I questioned. He nodded.

Louis:

I paced back and forth on the tour bus. Zayn, Liam, and Niall left about fifteen minutes ago to head to a restaurant they made reservations for. They begged me to go with them and 'get out' of the bus. I just wasn't up for it. I wasn't up for anything.

And for Harry. I had no idea where he was. He had left almost two or three hours ago and didn't tell anyone where he was going. Curious, I picked up my phone and scrolled to his contact,

Hey, where are you?  I sent. I then waited a minute or so until he replied:

Hey! I was just going to text you. You have to come to Balboa Park and follow the path until you reach the ocean. Meet there in 30 mins. ;)xx

I furrowed my brow as I read the message. I then reached for the sofa and grabbed my jacket and walked out of the bus doors. If I wanted to forget about Katie, then I couldn't alone.
