Louis pulled into the driveway and we instantly shared a heated kiss.

"Want to come inside?" I whisper as I press my fingers to the top button of his shirt. He wrapped his hand around mine,

"I can't, I have to go!" He laughed giving me another long kiss. We said our goodbyes and I walked up to my mother's house. I smiled, my confidence had definitely boosted after spending the weekend at Louis', him confessing his love every chance he got and seeming sincere  really helped me.

I entered, only to have a heart attack with the sight of my mom standing right there. I put my hand to my chest,

"You scared me!" I said, kicking off my shoes, happy Louis didn't come in with me... Knowing us, his shirt would have probably been all the way unbuttoned, and my pants loosened. I walked straight to the kitchen and started making tea,

"So how are you and Louis?" She asked, taking a seat at the bar stool. I glanced at her,

"Fine..." She normally didn't ask about Louis and I, when she did I tried to avoid it. I guess I just felt awkward talking to her about those kind of things, she missed out on a huge part of my life, the part when a girl needed her mother the most. Even though we were closer than before, I still never built that special bond with her.

"Oh, well I rarely see you two, you're always in London." She stated simply. I felt a pang of guilt,

        "That's where he lives."

"Yes I know. I just wanted to spend some more time with you.." She said quietly, as if she were scared to bring up the topic of her and I spending time together. I grabbed a mug and filled it with tea, "I would love to do something, we haven't done anything while you've been here." I sipped my tea letting the offer sit in my mind. "You've been here what? Five months?"

        "Four and a half actually."

"Oh, right..." She whispered. I looked over to her,

"How about dinner? Just you and me." Her huge smile stretched across her face and her eyes brightened,

"Yes! Yay, yay!" She rushed to my side and engulfed me in a hug, almost spilling my tea,

"Okay, Okay." I said, "Go on and make reservations while I go get ready." I state. She smiles, giving me a kiss on the forehead before ushering to the phone. I run up stairs and walk into what seems like an unfamiliar bedroom, sense I've been at Louis' for the past two weeks and a half, only coming back to Doncaster a maximum of two days.

I rummaged through my closet before finding a pair of black leggings and a tan jumper. I changed quickly then french braided my wild hair. I brushed my teeth and put on a small layer of makeup.; I was at Louis' all day and just went through a three hour car ride I hadn't worn any makeup and was dressed horribly. I walked down stairs in an instant.

The waitress escorted my mother and to a small booth. We both sat and ordered our drinks before looking at the menu for our meal.

"So, what have you and Louis been doing, since you spend so much time together?" She asked, her eyes flickering from the menu in her hand to me. I cleared my throat and looked around the restaurant filled with people, certain things that's for sure...

"Uhm, nothing really, just watching films yeah." I stated, feeling slightly uncomfortable. It was true though, we loved watching films, cuddled on the couch together.

"Right.." She said, as if she knew more than I was telling her..

"So, how's things with Charlie?" I asked, trying to change the subject. She grinned, her entire face brightening up,

        "Wonderful, he really is wonderful."

"Good." I smiled. The waitress brought us our drinks and we gave her our food orders before continuing the conversation,

"Good thing you and Sam never worked out, that would be awkward huh?" She said, I laughed.

        "Yeah."

"He's seeing a new girl anyways, something with and E." She stated. I sipped my drink,

"Yeah? Do you know her?" I asked. She put her hands over her face, something she always did when she was thinking,

"Eleanor! That's her name!" She suddenly shouted. I practically choked on my drink,

        "Eleanor? Eleanor Calder?" I coughed,

"Hm, I'm not sure. She has long brown hair, light brown eyes, she's a really pretty girl." I knew it was Eleanor, as in Louis' ex-girlfriend Eleanor. In a way, I was happy.

"When did they start seeing each other?" I asked, not to eagerly I might say, I didn't want my mom to get the wrong idea.

"Not long, maybe only a week or two ago. Sam says they're not officially together, just going on a few dates." I smiled,

"Well good, I'm happy for him." I said, it was sincere.

The rest of the night ended up going unexpectedly well. After dinner we decided to go home and watch a film with some popcorn. We watched a comedy, our laughs ringing throughout the house. When it started getting late I headed to bed, and I realized it was finally time to let go of the grudge I was holding over my mother. I forgave her for sending me away when I was twelve, Afterall, my father did have to see me, and it would be the one of the best choices I've ever made.

Another filler :) I wanted to show how Katie and her mom's relationship was growing! DRAMA in the next few chapters! Get ready! Thanks for reading!
