"Mother, I'm not going!" I shouted for the one-hundredth time. She honestly could not take 'no' for an answer. She sighed, following me to the kitchen as I rinsed the plate I had just used for lunch.

"Please! Katie, It's just a small dinner, and Charlie finally talked his son into going!" She stated. I relaxed a little and leaned on the counter. She seemed to know what I was thinking,

"Charlie's son is just a year older than you," She added. I opened my mouth,

"So.." I mumbled, Her eyes brightened,

"His name is Samuel, I've only met him once; but he's cute!" She winked

"Mom!" I shouted, biting my lip to hold a smile but failing miserably. She grinned,

"What?" She asked innocently. I let out a chuckle. "Will you at least consider it? It's not until tomorrow so you have tonight to think about it." She continued slowly. I sighed,

"Fine, I'll think about it." I answered. She jumped around and smiled widely,

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she yelled before pulling me into a hug. I stood still, feeling a little awkward, and still not wanting to give her the idea that I fully forgave her. She soon released me,

"I'm going to call Charlie!" She bubbled excitingly before running down the stairs to her room. I rolled my eyes, yet still couldn't stop the small smile forming on my lips.  I plopped on the couch just in time for my phone to buzz viciously. I picked it up and answered it without looking; knowing the only person who still calls.

"Heyo!" I answered, casually stretching my legs across the couch.

"Hey, what are you up too?" Louis asked, a noise in the background flaring through the phone of which I assumed to be the telly.

        "Nothing. Why what's up?"

"Nothing now, but Eleanor is ditching me tomorrow night for some model thing, and I wanted to know if you wanted to come to the nice, reserved, expensive  dinner with me; tomorrow." He replied, sounding rather annoyed.

"Nice to know I'm your back-up plan." I joked, "But I can't I have plans." I stated, examining my chipped nail polish.

"Plans? On a Sunday night?" He asked, with a bit of sass may I add.

"Yes, for a mater of fact I do." I piped. I could picture him rolling his eyes,

"What, would Katie be doing on a Sunday night?" He questioned. I groaned,

"I told my mom that I would join her, Charlie, and his son Samuel, to dinner."

        "His son?" Louis asked quickly.

"Erm, yeah. She said he's a year older than me, and I guess he's pretty cute." I hinted. There was a long silence,

"You're going to ditch me, for a guy you don't know?" Louis asked jokingly. "Very funny Katie, but seriously I need someone for this dinner date!"

"First, I'm not ditching you for this supposed 'highly attractive' male, I'm ditching you for my mother, which I remember you saying 'You need to be nicer, and spend more time with her'." He started talking, but I cut him off, "Also, I don't think your girlfriend would appriciate  me going on a 'dinner date' with you." I stated. It was true, if my boyfriend replaced me so easily on a date, I would be quite offended.
