I trot down the stairs, just waking from a restless sleep. As I enter the kitchen I see my mother, sipping on some coffee. I open the fridge and pull out a bagel,

"Why are you not with Charlie?" I ask, popping  the bagel in the toaster. She sets her mug down softly,

"He had to work today, but guess what!" She says eagerly. I furrow my eyebrows,

"What...?" I ask cautiously, never knowing what will come next. She smiles brightly, her small eyes shinning,

"Samuel asked me, to ask you, if you wanted to go out with him tonight." She sequels with delight. My stomach flutters a little, and I can't stop the blush from appearing on my cheeks,

"Really?" I ask, dumbfounded. She nods her head viciously. I think for a second, going out with Sam would defiantly take my mind off of Louis; that's good. Yet, I haven't been on a legitimate date in a while, the thought kind of scared me. I've never been one to date, I've always been afraid falling in love; mostly because I think that I could fall in love so easily, and the thought of that made me sick. "I don't know..." I say. Mom widens her eyes, almost spitting out her coffee,

"You don't know!? What are you talking about? He's gorgeous and so are you! You'd be perfect for each other." She states. I roll my eyes,

"I don't know. I'll think about it." I answer. She lifts her eye brows, "What?" I ask.

"Is it because of Louis?" She asks. My cheeks burn and I can feel myself getting hot,

"Louis? Louis has nothing to do with this." I say defensively, "Why would you think that?" She stands up and walks to the sink, cleaning out her mug,

"Well I don't know. He's been over almost everyday for the month and a half that you've been here. When he's not you're either at his place, or he's out with his band mates. It seems like you guys are quite fond of each other." She she says mater-of-fact.

"That doesn't matter, he has a girlfriend." I say, suddenly wanting her out of my business. She leans against the counter as I nibble on my now cooked bagel.

"It seems like he likes you. I mean, you would think that he would use all his spare time for his girlfriend, but he uses it allon you." she reasoned. I stare at my bagel,

"He doesn't like me like, that." I mumble.

"Then go on this date with Sam, it's not like you'll be marrying him." She claimed. I find myself get angry from her pushing me into doing what she wants,

"I will do what I want to do. Worry about yourself." I snap, her always trying to control my situations.  She scoffs, walking away, tossing a piece of paper at me, and leaving me to my thoughts. I quickly messaged Louis,

        ~My mom's driving me crazy. -_- help. Katie~

I sat, pondering about this 'get together' with Sam. Maybe my mother was right, having this one date would be fun, and I should try to get to know more people here, so I don't have to rely on Louis so much. I pick up the piece of paper my mother tossed to me, and see a number scribbled down. Assuming it's Sam's I grab my phone,

~Hey Sam! Want to hang out tonight? :) Katie--~ Even with slight fear flowing through me I press send. I know he wont read it yet, considering he works; and that just made all the anticipation worse.I then quickly received a message from Louis,
