I ran up the stairs and straight to the shower. My clothes fall to the floor as I turn the shower on, letting the luxurious water run down my body, allowing it to sooth my sore muscles. It was Louis' 21st birthday, and he would be over in an hour. I haven't seen Lou in a week, he's been traveling around England, doing lots of concerts and interviews; I missed him.

I hopped out of the shower and changed into a formal teal and white dress ( dress ) for the dinner Louis and I would be attending tonight with the rest of the lads. Once again, Eleanor couldn't come because she was "busy"; everyone was beginning to be suspicious about Eleanor and her strange disappearances throughout the day. Her and Louis rarely spend time together, and he tells me that somethings' up, that she doesn't work this often. Though I was defiantly not going to allow Eleanor ruin Lou's birthday.

I wrapped a large bow in my hair and run down the stairs when I hear a knock at the door. I open it swiftly, Louis wears a white button-up long sleeve shirt, black trousers, and black suspenders,

"Happy birthday!" I shout at the top of my lungs. Louis just stares at me, as if he were starstruck,

"You... you look beautiful," He breaths. My breath is hitched in my throat and my cheeks burn,

"Thanks Lou," I whisper, playing with the hem of my dress. He smiles and I feel the butterflies go wild in my stomach.

"Well, you ready to go?" He asks, breaking the silence. I grab his hand and yank him inside,

"Present first!" I say, leading him into the living room.

"Woo! Presents!" He cheers. I laugh before coming to a halt and standing in front of him. He glances behind me and looks around, "Where's my present?" He asks. I smile,

"Me!" I yell, pointing to the bow in my hair and grinning like an idiot. He cracks a laugh,

"No! seriously," He says. I roll my eyes,

"Fine." I lead him to the couch, and pick up the guitar laying next to it. "Sense you've never heard me sing..." I start. His eyes widen and a smile is plastered on his face. I wanted to give Louis something he'd remember, his whole life; not a present that he could probably buy himself if he wanted to. "It's my favorite Ed Sheeran song, well my favorite song of all time... so yeah." I slowly strum the guitar, trying not to let my nerves get the best of me; I always had trouble with my nerves when singing, that's why I studied 'song-writing; I mostly just had to write the songs, maybe hum the tune of the music; but not exactly sing.

"Settle down with me," I begin, my voice small.

"Cover me up, cuddle me in," I glance up from my guitar, Louis is staring at me intently. He smiles at me reassuringly, and my confidence grows.

"Lie down with me, and hold me.. in your arms." I sing the next few verses, having the song take a hold of me,

"My heart's against your chest, your lips pressed to my neck,"

"I'm fallin' for your eyes, but they don't know me yet."

"With this feeling i'd forget... I'm in love now,"

"Kiss me like you want to be loved..." I sing, wondering if Louis really knew the depth of the lyrics, and how I sang them with all that I could give.

I finish the song and Louis doesn't even give me time to set down my guitar, he grabs me and gives me the tightest hug he could,

"That was so amazing Katie." He whispers, squeezing me tighter.
