Harry's POV
I watched as Katarina continued to scribble in her new journal. I had picked it up yesterday before I came back to the cabin. It wasn't hard to see that she was going stir crazy just sitting here doing nothing while I had to leave. At first she kept asking to be taken back home, but I wasn't ready for that yet. Eventually, she gave up on that notion, probably for my benefit, I imagine. It wasn't very hard for either of us to read each other. I was easily able to gauge her state of mind and emotions by the look in her eyes and I don't know how she did it, but she was also able to do the same with me.
At least she was trying her hardest on the whole honesty thing. She was struggling a bit, but I had to admit I was being pushy. I wanted to know every single thought that ran through her mind. When we talked, she had some amazing views of the world and ideas that I hadn't even contemplated being a thought. But, I knew there was more in her that she held back on. I was also desperate to know how she felt about, us. Where we stood in her mind. That was probably my stupidity and conscience taking over my brain.
I stared at her for another moment before writing in my own journal. Out here in the woods, she looked beautiful and happy. She looked like she belonged here. Which was odd, because she looked like she belonged everywhere, it seemed. Maybe it was just me and the way I saw her.
She had begged me to join her out here to just sit and "take in the beauty". I didn't know if that was her talking or the part of her that was going nuts. Either way, I eventually gave in. Not that I could put up much of a fight when she battered her long lashes at me. I knew she didn't do it intentionally, but she might as well have. I would commit murder if she asked me with those eyes of hers. It was frightening really.
I stood up from the giant rock I was sitting on, which was directly across from her. I walked over and sat on the old log she had decided to take refuge in. "What are you jotting down there love?" I asked as she slammed the journal shut. She was already a good ways through it.
"Are you going to tell me what you got in your journal?" She questioned me.
"Nope."
She raised her brow at me. "Then what makes you think I'd share with you?"
I shrugged. "I tried."
She smiled, shaking her head before she opened the journal back up, flipping towards the front and handing it off to me. I took it from her hands and into mine, looking down at the page she had turned it to. My eyes were mesmerized by the drawing I was looking at. She had drawn a part of the forest. I looked around, knowing exactly what she had drawn. I held up the journal to compare the drawing to the real thing. It was exact, as if I was looking at a picture. If she hadn't used blue ink, I would have really questioned her.
"This is incredible," I said, not taking my eyes off the paper. "I didn't know you could draw like this, I thought you just painted."
"Thank you, now give it back."
"Do you draw people?" I asked.
"Sometimes," she shrugged as she took back the journal. "Here's you, Louis, Liam and Niall." She handed me back the journal.
Again I was looking at the pages, mesmerized by what I was seeing. And again it was life like, as though I was looking at a photograph of the four of us. "Can I keep these?" I asked, again, without taking my eyes off the paper.
