A.J.'s POV

Around seven, everyone was ready to head out to the fair. I was reluctant, but Odie's excitement was rather infectious. The fair was probably her favorite part of our times here. It wasn't the best fair, but I suppose it was the atmosphere or being away from our mom that made her love it so much. Either way, it made her happy, therefore I was all for it.

Although most of the people there were friendly, I was still aware of the fact that there were a bunch of drunk people roaming around. I kept her wedged between myself and Harry while we followed Alex and Olivia. The rest of our cousins all went their separate ways, so like usual it was just us four with Harry as our new addition. I was grateful that he didn't protest. Even though I was still upset with him, I still wanted to hold his hand and just be near him. But, Odie came first, he knew it, he didn't even fight it or complain, he was happy to put my mind at ease where she was concerned, and I loved that.

We went through the crowds, stopping at a few booths along the way. Thankfully, my nausea had subsided and I was starving. Harry tried to sway me away from the junk food, but I ended up having my way in the end. I hadn't realized, besides the mango that I hadn't eaten anything all day.

Since the three went off to get on a ride, Harry and I stayed alone together while I ate a churro ice cream sandwich, which he ended up taking very large bites of.

"So are you gonna continue to be mad at me?" he asked, wiping his fingers on my napkin.

I shrugged, "I don't know, are you going to stop lying to me?" I shot back, annoyed that he had eaten my snack.

"When have I lied to you?" He sounded offended.

"You really think I can't tell when you're lying?" I raised my eyebrow at him as I turned my entire body to face him.

He sighed, rolling his eyes. "I promise, everything is fine and I'm sorry that I acted weird, but I swear everything is fine between us."

His words were sincere, I knew that much. But, I still knew he was keeping something from me. I tried to question him further, but I was interrupted by his lips pressing to mine. His lips were still sweet from the snack. I tried to push him away, but eventually gave in, pulling him in closer by his neck. I pulled me in closer to him by my hips, leaning in further.

"Ew, I leave you two alone for twenty minutes and you're already all over each other," Odie yelled, loud enough for us to hear her causing both of us to pull apart.

He shrugged, "I can't help it if your sister is hot," he grinned unapologetic.

Odie made a disgusted face, moving passed us with the rest of the group at a new booth. I untangled myself from him, following them to the booth. Before I got too far, his hands grabbed me by the waist, wrapping his arms around me as we walked. I thought about fighting him on it, but I was too comfortable in his arms.

Being so comfortable actually began to make me feel sleepy. Thankfully, Odie had grown tired as well and was ready to call it a night. I swear that little girl had everyone wrapped around her little finger, even Harry, who she made play a stupid booth game until he won her the teddy bear she wanted, just for her entertainment. She could have easily done it herself, but she found it funny to watch him struggle.
