Harry's POV
After our talk, I left Katarina alone to shower, despite my offer to join her. I walked over to the kitchen, cleaning the small mess we had made earlier. I sat on one of the stools, checking my phone, when Katarina came in.
Her hands rubbed against my back as she leaned on me, "What are you doing?"
"I decided that I am going to get you twenty presents for your birthday." I informed her.
She kissed my cheek before removing herself from me, walking across to the other side of the kitchen island. "I thought we agreed on no presents?" She asked as she grabbed herself a juice box. she looked adorable in her cartoon themed t-shirt, her hair in a braid on the side of her face.
"Yes, but, you already let me give you three..."
"Ehh, more like four, I'm counting whatever that was that happened in my bedroom," she interrupted, a shy smile appearing on her face. "Fine, but I get to pick."
"Okay, you get to pick eight," I compromised, I knew she would pick simple things, nothing that really counted as a gift. "The other half you get no say in."
She pondered on the thought for a minute before she agreed, reluctantly. "I want my next present now," she demanded, pulling out her phone from her pocket. She unlocked it before plugging it into the dock that was sitting on the kitchen counter behind her.
"What would that be?" I asked curiously as I watched her, turning on some music.
I watched as she turned around, climbing on top of the kitchen island, standing in the middle of it. I looked up at her in shock. "What the hell?"
"I've always wanted to dance on a a surface, and a kitchen island will do," she said through a fit of giggles as she took in my shocked expression. "Come on, old man."
I watched her for another moment before climbing on top of the kitchen counter with her.
Odette's POV
"Come on, Christopher," out of all the times he could be driving "safe" he decides on today to start. "It's Kit's birthday and we left her alone, all day."
I didn't want to leave her alone, but I needed to get her a present and a cake, decorations, pretty much everything since my sister was weird and didn't like birthday's and her friends were useless to me. I didn't quite understand why she was so closed off from people, but she let these two clowns stick around, I was on a mission to change that. Somehow. I had managed a dinner, small cake and ice cream on Friday, but it was just us four. That didn't really count. Today I was determined to have a party, with more people, including Harold and his friends.
"Chill out, first of all, if I take you back home with even one hair out of place, Kit will kill me," he was right, she could be a tad bit overprotective. "Second, this going out at the last minute thing was your idea, you couldn't just let her not have a birthday party like every year. And, lastly, thanks to you, she is not alone, she is with her boyfriend and I am pretty sure that he is taking very good care of her." He said, not expecting me to understand his innuendo. But, I did.
"You're so gross, just floor it."
It took about ten more long minutes for us to get back home. Liam, Louis, Niall and Ed were in the driveway, all exiting their car, I had asked Samara to invite them over. From what I gathered since I had been here, my sister really enjoyed their company, which was a rare thing. Katarina, pretty much disliked everyone. Or so she said, I saw how she cared for people, in general, if she truly didn't like people, she would have not let that, bitch, Natalie stick around for as long as she did. What my sister's problem was, that she was afraid to get close to someone and lose them. I didn't know much about how our brother and her dad died, but I knew enough from my dad, that she had a hard time afterward.
