A.J.'s POV
I was thrilled to have Tommy with me for the holiday's, it was the only thing that was keeping me from going batshit crazy. Not only was I dealing with the whole pregnancy secret, but I also had to put up with Alice drooling all over Harry. And I had a feeling that this was going to be a problem throughout our entire stay here. I tried to not get jealous, she was his friend way before I had met him, but the way she was looking at him and hanging on his every word was sending me over the edge. Not to mention the way she would touch his arm and giggle whenever he spoke to her. I mean, he wasn't that funny.
Tommy went back and forth, sitting on mine and Gemma's laps, claiming both of us as his. He was fighting with Harry, well, Harry was fighting with him. He was just a little boy, he didn't know any better. Eventually, once he had warmed up to her, he started claiming Anne as his too.
"You can't keep them all," Harry complained. "That's my mummy and that's my sister and that one over there is my girlfriend," he pointed to each of us.
Tommy looked at where he was pointing before shrugging his shoulders. "That's not your mommy, she's pretty and Gem is mine and auntie Kit is mine first."
"Gem was mine first," he stuck his tongue out at Tommy.
"But, she's mine now," he giggled, patting his little tummy as he lazily laid against me. "You can have that one," he pointed at Alice. "I don't want that one," he scrunched his nose and shook his head.
It took every ounce of my self control to not burst out into a fit of laughter. Harry on the other hand, didn't hesitate to let out a loud roar of laughter, almost tumbling over from his seat. Tommy just smiled and giggled slightly, confused as to why he was laughing. He didn't mean to be funny, he was just being honest. Brutally honest.
Unfortunately, Alice decided to stay for dinner. I mean, seriously, didn't she have her own family to spend time with? I tried to distract myself by helping Anne and Gemma prepare dinner, while Alice stayed in the living room with Harry and everyone else. It wasn't like he was paying attention to her in that way, but the fact that she made it completely obvious was just completely and utterly annoying.
Gemma tried her best to distract me, bless her, but Alice made it a point to laugh hard enough for everyone to hear. Everyone, meaning me. She wanted me, specifically, to hear how much fun she and Harry were having. I tried to tell myself that it was just my imagination, but the way she smiled so smugly at me whenever she entered the kitchen, was just a sign that it wasn't just me going crazy.
I smiled back, letting her know that she wasn't getting to me, even though she was. Which made me even more glad that I had mastered the art of a convincing fake smile a long time ago. Luckily, I trusted Harry enough not to do anything to act on her flirtatious attempts. Lord knows I would have flipped a very long time ago if I didn't trust him.
"Don't let her get to you," Gemma spoke softly so only I could hear, rubbing my back lightly as I chopped up the last bell pepper. "Harry loves you and she knows it, that's why she's acting like that."
I was about to ask her a question about how she and Harry knew each other, but he walked in with Tommy in his arms, both of them laughing. I smiled at the sight of both of them happy and getting along, which was cut short by Alice popping up behind them trying to join in on the laughter. She reached out to grab Tommy's hand, but he recoiled at her touch, nuzzling himself into Harry's chest, trying to hide away from her.
