A.J.'s POV
The next few days went, just as quickly as they came. Thursday, I found out that, Harry had set up for us to go scuba diving. As pleased as I was, I had to burst his bubble and inform him, that because of my pregnancy, I wasn't able to go. I insisted he go without me, but he refused, I knew he didn't want to do it anyway, so he was perfectly fine with having to miss out. Instead of not doing anything, he decided on taking me snorkeling instead to explore The Great Barrier Reef. It was truly amazing and a lot safer than scuba diving.
The rest of our week, until Sunday around noon, was spent on what, Harry called, "a proper yacht". It was positively ridiculous to have such a large vessel for just us, Landon, Pete and Pete's daughter, Lucy, who I was not aware was on the trip with us. Had I known there was a five year old with us, I probably would have had a lot more fun, I guess that's what I get for sleeping the entire plane ride here. Apparently, he was a single father and refused to join us on our trip, insisting that he would much rather stay with his daughter than hire a babysitter for two weeks, which would have ended up getting him fired. True to his nature, Harry had hired a nanny for the next two weeks to watch over, Lucy while Pete worked, that way he wouldn't lose his job and he got to be with his daughter.
I seriously didn't think, Harry could do anything more to make me fall in love with him, but he always proved me wrong. Friday, after breakfast, Lucy had run into me as I walked around with my nose stuck in a book while Harry jogged around the yacht. My first instinct when I saw the brunette, curly haired girl was to panic. Since I was not aware of her existence, I was not sure what the hell a small child was doing on the yacht. I had concluded, after speaking to her and deciding that there was no way that a girl as cute as her was even real, that she was just part of my imagination. Her skin was so pale, her cheeks rosy and her lips a dark red, she almost looked like the real life version of a baby Snow White.
It wasn't until Harry made his last round, bumping into the both of us that I noticed the familiarity between them. She didn't hesitate to wrap her little arms around his neck as soon as he was at eye level and he didn't hesitate to shower her with kisses on her cheek. It was annoying and utterly adorable how well he was with children. Once he explained who she was and the situation, which meant I was not crazy and seeing things, I was glad to have the baby girl no board. Of course I loved Harry, but just being us two for so long was bound to drive me nuts eventually. Ironically enough, a five year old child was the perfect thing I needed to keep me sane.
After asking for permission, of course, I didn't hesitate to cuddle the little girl and play with her whenever she wanted. Harry didn't mind at all, he mentioned, more than once, that it was good practice for our future. Annoying little turd.
"I honestly don't know what the hell I was thinking when I said I didn't ever want kids if I was expecting to live the rest of my life with you," I had playfully mentioned to him on a Saturday afternoon after Lucy was put down for a nap. "Being alone with you for the rest of my life, without someone else to have to deal with you would have been torture," I teased.
He only laughed and agreed with me, playfully mocking himself about how awful he was. Which, got old rather quickly. I hated that he said such idiotic things about himself, which caused him to laugh.
