A.J.'s POV
It was finally Monday, and I decided to go to work, against Harry's wishes. If it were up to him, we would stay in bed all damn day, cuddling, and as much as I loved him, there was only so much cuddling I could handle. There really wasn't a need for me to come in yet, nothing was set up fully so there wasn't much I could do until then. I was sure Olivia had everything under control, but I needed a distraction. Even though Harry and I were fine, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something terrible was going to happen, and I knew if Harry had his way and I stayed home to lounge around with him, I would just let my imagination run wild. And I know for a fact that, that would not be good for anyone, especially Harry.
I tried to tell myself that it was probably just my nerves acting up, since tomorrow, we were heading out to his mom's to spend Christmas with his family. Even though I had met both his parents before, spending an entire week with them was a different story, and, I wasn't going to see Odie or Sama and Chris. Though, he did spend Thanksgiving and my grandpa's birthday with me and my family, I guess it was high time I did the same. Thankfully, the boys had called him early this morning so they could have an early breakfast for Louis since no one was going to be around for his birthday and since they were all on break, they all had time.
"Katarina, have you seen my beanie or my boots?" Harry asked as he made his way to the kitchen.
I took a bite of my banana, waiting for him to make an appearance. "Which ones?"
"The brown boots and the Packers beanie?"
"Like that narrows it down?" I rolled my eyes, taking another bite. He had so many pairs of brown boots and Packers beanies, it wasn't even funny.
"The one I wore yesterday and the light brown ones I wore Thursday," he made his way to the fruit basket.
"I washed the beanie yesterday, it was gross, so it's in the laundry room and your boots are in the coat closet, so is your coat," I added, knowing he was going to ask me eventually.
When there was no response, I turned around to see what was wrong with him. "Woman, where are my bananas?" He asked as I took the last bite of mine. Crap. "Was that the last one?" He turned around, pointing at my empty banana peel.
I swallowed the last bite, not knowing what else to do, my eyes going wide. Before I could respond, Harry walked over to the fridge in two strides, opening the fridge door and slamming it right after, his hands holding something between them, a juice box. Not just any juice box, no, it was the last juice box. He hoped on top of the counter, popping the straw into the box and putting it between his lips, sucking on it until it was empty.
"You didn't," I challenged, my eyes narrowing at him.
He nodded his head, tossing the empty juice box into the trash bin. "I did," he wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Ugh, you suck," I tossed away the banana peel into the trash bin, right over the juice box, sticking my tongue out at him and heading off to finish getting ready.
I called my new driver slash security guard, Pete, to be ready in ten minutes. I didn't particularly like having him around, it wasn't anything personal, he seemed like a nice guy, but I hated the fact that he was imposed on me by my grandfather. He was sent over a week ago along with Max's assistant, who thankfully had left by Friday. The only reason I didn't fight anyone too much on it, was because Harry thought it was a good idea until he taught me how to drive and he was from my uncle Derek's company, so I had no doubt he was one of the best.
