Chapter 2 - Gail

last glass ko na ito. promise! last long island na ito before we leave this party. ang boring ng party na ito. pero dahil friend ko ang nagplano, go lang. buti na lang may booze! atleast i got to drink here with some friends.

by the way, i'm gail. a regular girl with a regular life. extrordinary dreams and a fabulous future. i have it all, well, almost all thanks to my super busy parents. but who's counting? i have a good job at an advertising firm that pays well. i get to travel because of it as well. and i have a loving boyfriend, brent, who is the perfect man of my dreams. what could i ever ask for?

but if there's nothing missing in my life... why do i feel unhappy? unsatisfied? bakit ganun? yun ang tanong ko sa sarili ko habang umiinom ng cocktail ko, oblivious of the world and to everyone around me.

"uyy, girl! kanina ka pa namin hinahanap ha" tapik sa akin ni jeannie hawak ang margarita glass niya na pangalawa na ata niya tonight as she sat beside me.

"oh really? i thought busy ka with the boys we met at the parking lot" sabi ko habang kumikindat sa kanya.

"they're ok... but a bunch of jocks... puro muscle pero no brainers... gwapo nga, airheads naman. hehehe!" tawa niya habang umiinom ng cocktail niya.

"pang ilan mo na ba yan? you are getting drunk girl" sabay kurot sa waist niya.

"this is just my third one dear. no worries. remember our rule. hanggang four lang tapos water na ang susunod pag nauhaw pa. eh ikaw ba pang ilan mo na yan? if my memory is correct that would be your fourth, di ba?" sagot niya habang nakatingin siya sa mga mata ko.

"yup... fourth... i promised myself that awhile ago" pag assure ko sa kanya.

si jeannie, one of my uber besties, highschool pa lang kami super close na. kindred spirit kung tinatawag. so alam niya halos lahat ng sikreto ko way better than my sister. she even knows pag nagsisinungaling ako.

she works at a bank, higher level management. pero super party girl din. game na game sa lakwatsa at sa gimiks. i sooooo love her! with her nice eyes, perfect tan skin and aura to boot, a real charmer with the boys.

"nasan na ba si di?" tanong ko habang hinahanap ang kaibigan namin.

gosh! dami pala tao sa party na ito ha. wonder san kaya yung isang bestie ko. she has been m.i.a. since we arrived here. she's always being surrounded by boys kasi she is such a cutie. maputi, long eyelashes and a childlike attitude, habulin din ng boys.

"hey girls!" may sumigaw sa may likuran ng sofa na inuupan namin.

"and where have you been ms. dinah?" mock irritation with matching hands sa waist si jeannie.

"wag na magtaray jeannie... i just got caught up with some boys in the other room. sorry na" sabi ni dinah habang papalapit sa amin, eyelashes fluttering.

cute talaga itong si dinah. college bestie ko ever since we met at college. pareho kasi kami ng course, business management major in advertising. after graduation, she was given the job of handling the catering business of her family. the aguilar's are one of the more known families when it comes to big catering events din naman.

"gosh! may cutie dun sa other room!" dugtong ni dinah habang kinikilig.

"di nga? eh lahat naman cute sa iyo eh" sabat ni jeannie.

"ok palitan ko... may hottie sa kabilang room!"

"weh?!?" sabay naming sabi ni jeannie.

sabay kindat ni dinah while sipping her drink. ito talagang si di, ang bilis ng mata sa mga cutie. and may taste siya sa boys. pag sinabi niyang cutie, cutie talaga. pag sinabi niyang hottie, "hold on to your panties, girlfriend" na yun!
